My name is Theresa & with my husband Tony, and our Volunteers, we rescue injured & orphaned wildlife and domestic animals. The animals are cared for until they are ready to be released. We also answer calls from people with questions about wildlife, do talks at clubs & schools. This is done with no funding, only with donations from caring friends & the public, which we very much appreciate. As our

name gets around, we rescue more animals, it is getting harder to pay for everything. Petrol, formulas, hard feed, vet bills, medication, x-rays & pathology costs have all increased in the last few months. We have moved to a new, larger location and are still constructing suitable pens for all the animals that come here. If you can't see the work we have done over the years by looking at our page, it's clear that every animal was called in from someone in need, all for free, at our own expense.

I AM EDITING THIS POST PLEASE READ IN FULL
As most know, I normally only speak about wildlife and how to help them, not about myself. But now I need help for one of my 5 children, Jamie (James)as a wildlife shelter/carer and rescuer, it is hard we are committed we can't take holidays visit our family and friends. We are on call 24/7 every day of the year. Year after year. I have 5 children and 12 grandchildren i can't go to family events. And this is not for a wage just because of a loving of animals. This started long before children got married or grandchildren. But become a commitment. You're all probably asking why she is telling us this well my son Jamie, had a serious car accident in Thailand over 3 months ago he lives there with his Thai wife Sky and a gorgeous son named Phoenix. He was on a respirator. We thought we were going to lose him. Jamie lives in Thailand and dose fly in fly out jobs with all different companies as a contractor. Since the accident that caused major damage, he has had countless surgeries many hurdles I'm here in Australia always praying he will answer my calls and messages feeling useless as Jamie has a rare blood group from his father who was my ex-husband. Jamie has still a long way to go medical expenses are huge as my son didn't have medical insurance, I guess being young and living there he didn't think WHAT COULD HAPPEN. Anyway, the only way I can help my son is to ask for help with money he can't work he needs more surgeries he owes a lot of money. I don't have the money to give so I'm hoping my followers can help me help him my Son. The Thai doctors and nurses have been amazing its not about the care its about needing funds, he can not fly back he isnt stable or well enough. Yes the embassy can organise this but the family needs to be able to fund this which we do not have. I have drawn on everything i have over the years to help the community and animals we live week to week. thank you Theresa

🌿 Friendly Reminder 🌿As we enter the peak season for wildlife rescues in East Victoria, many native species will be on the move in search of mates, water, and food.

This increased activity often leads to a higher demand for wildlife rescue services, with many shelters already at capacity and striving to accommodate the rising numbers of injured, sick, and orphaned animals.

Species such as long-neck turtles, common wombats, echidnas, kangaroos, koalas and fledgling birds are more active at this time of year.

To help protect these animals and support those working tirelessly to care for them, please be mindful of your speed, observe wildlife corridors, and take necessary precautions.

By sharing this reminder with your family, friends, and colleagues, and raising awareness, we can collectively make a difference and support the well-being of our wildlife. Every small effort counts.

We are currently fundraising for the purchase of land in which to release the animals and still be able to monitor their progress.
