Redemption Ranch - Rikki Lee Horsemanship Professional Performance Horse Training and Training Program | Madisonville, TN My horsemanship is based off of the horse.

My goal is to educate and empower the horse owner through better understanding their horse in an effective way that preserves the mind of the horse. The communication between horse to horse and herd dynamics play a huge role in how we as the riders / handlers ought to communicate to the horse. I’m a firm believer that we can overcome our pasts, because our pasts do not define who we are. They are

simply a reminder of how strong we truly are through Christ. From time to time I will take on a horse and document my work so you see the progress day by day. Ultimately you’ll see the horse in the show ring or adopted to a wonderful family! I am so honored to be able to do what God has given me so much fire to do. I hope to share words or wisdom, encouragement, and love for your horsemanship journey and life!

🔥 Too hot to trot | literally 🔥

We’re officially in the season of “too hot to trot!” , be sure you pay attention to the heat when training this time of year.

💦Coolig off; ensure you take your time cooling off, hose them off from the hooves and work your way up slowly. Be sure to sweat scrape!

👏🏽 Feel when they need breaks; don’t just push the whole hour -2 hours.

Put your horse first.

Be careful! This season is gonna be a doozy

He is your horse.
Period.

If you choose to sell because it’s not a good fit, that’s something you shouldn’t ashamed of.

If you choose to keep the horse and hire a trainer to help you fix problems, that’s something between you and your horse - something many don’t do and you should be proud you’re going to try.

If you wanna take a season slow to work on things vs going ba*** to the walls, do it. It’s your race , not theirs.

If you stop mid season and go a different route, then I wish nothing but the best, it’s between you and your horse- what’s best.

If you want to train your own, that’s between you and your horse. There should be no shame.

If you wish to put your senior horse down because they’re declining and your vet says it’s probably best, do it.

If you wish to try to get your senior back to health and keep fighting UNTIL the vet suggests the end, do it.( I am for my two).

That horse is yours.
Period.
Don’t ever be ashamed for the choice.
As long as it’s in the best interest of the horse. That’s what matters.

A note from pico the donkey :

Dont be an ass, instead be kind and loving

Let you kindness be as long and never ending as a donkey’s ears

Allow your loud voice to speak words of joy and kidness, like a brey- only on key

If you do kick, kick the nasty negative thoughts away

And never let your size determine your strength. Because deep down you’re as tall as that Clydesdale 😂🫶🏽

Sincerely,

Pico

An empty barn = happy horses!

It’s so important to keep horses outside as much as possible.

They’re creatures of movement and social at that.

Fact: grazing encourages saliva, and constantly eating helps with the acids in their stomachs. That’s why horses who are stalled more than turnout tend to crib (stress/ anxiety) or have ulcers due to going extensive amounts of time without food.

Our guys have been enjoying the cool days and nights since the storms a week ago!

God is good!

🐴HORSEBACK RIDING LESSONS | OPEN 🐴
Hello all! 😁

As you know, we are a private facility. However, we have had some students sadly move out of state leaving us with some open slots in our program.

Available Openings:
⚜ONSITE: Ride our horses here, learn horsemanship, basic riding - intermediate, options to possibly show, and potential to lease a horse. No age limit.
⚜ OFFSITE: I come to YOU. I can help you achieve your goals at your own facility with your own horse(s). - Brand new to horses? I can assist!
⚜Haul Ins: You can haul in to our facility or we can meet you at a local arena (usually Roane State if they are open)

We have "Summer Hours" During the morning, or mid day (depending on heat) and we also have "After School Hours" for those parents who work and need to attend after 4 pm.

We only have a few spots available.
Multiple student sign up discounts available (siblings or friends)

Please shoot me an email at [email protected] or a txt or phone call attached to the post below.
We have horrible service here, and usually i am out and about here. So, if i do not answer please leave a voicemail or a txt!
Thank you.

✨ F E E L ✨

“Hey, I’m uncomfortable.” Said no horse ever.
“I don’t trust that whatsoever…” said no horse ever.
“I don’t like YOU.” Said no horse ever.

They say all of this ^^ through physical language. Not vocal. And THAT takes you to ‘feel’ the difference between a career breaking moment vs a learning experience.

The amount of times I’ve had someone curse me a new one by saying “your horse is not for beginners” when they wanted a relaxing horse to ride, is far too many to count.
Some need jobs.
Some need more stimulation.

They’re very similar to kids- I believe.
Some learn slower, some learn faster.
Some need exposure to determine if it’s their career / goal.
Some have it naturally in them.

⭐️Trainers don’t make the horse⭐️
We just uncover what’s already there and share it with those who don’t know how to unveil it.

Sometimes folks get mad, and that’s okay.
Because at the end of the day it’s about the horse.
It’s about feel.
If you be quiet and feel with your horse , you’ll have your answers.

☀️ Don’t dim your light ‘cause of their shade ☀️

The biggest bullies are in this industry.
The biggest toxic mindsets are in it.

HOWEVER….
Some of THE MOST selfless people are in this industry.
Some of the most empowering people use their abilities with horses to inspire, to change lives, to touch hearts.

This entire world is full of negativity.
Someone will always sit in the sideline and tell you how to do things.
Someone will always smile to your face and then talk hate behind your back.
Someone will always try to bring you down.

You have to remember to focus on the horse.
Focus on Gods purpose for you.
Focus on the love and the light.
It is so easy to allow shade to dim your light.
Don’t give them the power.
Continue to do you, your mission, and what you’re called to do 👏

🌻 DARLIN 🌻

Miss darlin has her first debut in the stateline arena series in GA this past Tuesday.
We are riding in the buckle series, no longer seasoning! Very proud of her.

I rarely ever get nervous or anxious, but for some reason this round I was. I kept feeling the overwhelming feeling of every time we got started, something happened to prevent her from running; health issues, injury, etc.

But as she ran with no fear, I felt the subtle reminder of “walk by faith not by sight”, if this mare can have this much confidence- surely I can!

I love you miss darlin ❤️
Cheers to a whopping 30 seconds recorded hahhahaha she was in low 20’s last year. First actual run since winter, so I’m not complaining. It was clean, controlled, and technically savvy!

Glory to God!!

He’s officially in halter breaking!
He will be miss Darlin’s new pasture buddy. He’s only 7 months old. What a precious soul.

He gave one good rear then he settled down.

By far the easiest I’ve ever dealt with hahah!

🏅 Testimony > Test 🏅

The 2024 season is approaching, and many have already started.
Some are having to restructure so many things last minute.
Others, don’t have the horse they thought they’d have this season for whatever the reason.

Wherever you’re at starting this season, remember why you started.
Remember where you used to be.

It’s easy to sit down and over analyze the issues at hand, the “why is this happening”…. Trust me. I know.

Every season I have a truck issue, a horse issue, or trailer preventing me from doing it. It’s so incredibly defeating to work so hard to only have something happen to prevent me from doing what I love.

The devil only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. The Lord comes to give life.
John 10:10-29

Keep your chin up, breath, and remember why you began the race. 🫶🏼
