Paired on 1/4/2025
We wanted to do two pairings, but we currently don't have breedable females in the Silvermane line. 😅😵💫
Cheese and Juanita are going to give us Siamese, Black-Eyed Siamese, and Burmese. They will be in Standard and Velveteen coats. We may get some Dumbo ears.
Our goal is to get more Black-Eyed Siamese and Velveteen coats (really hoping for a female so we can head towards Double Velveteen coats!)

A Very Happy New Year!!
Here is our 2024 Numbers! 🥰🥰
15 of Litters born in 2024 with 120 babies born!!
We had 74 rattos find the new spoiled adventures with a grand total of 617 Ratties!!!!!
16 Ratties (including Purina's 9 sweeties) who crossed Rainbow Bridge in 2024. We miss them all so much. 🥺❤️ Fly high, sweet babies. Skye, we know you would have been an amazing Mama with your precious beans. We are sorry that we couldn't save you and your sweet babies. Purina's babies...You're Mama tried so hard to help you thrive and Mama May even tried. 🥺💔 Heaven and Neveah...we miss your tiny little personalities. Norfolk...we miss your snuggles and kisses.
Our C-Locus line continues to be our favorite and dear to our heart. Although....this year we have hit a bit of a snag with a spinal abnormality showing itself in the genetics. We are so hoping an outcross to Albion (our Rex boy) will help lessen the abnormality, but only time will tell. We will try our best. ❤️ We plan on not adding Rex to this line, however, as it already had Velveteen coats and mixing the two seems like a genetic mess. 😅🤣
Our Silvermane line continues to still have respiratory sensitivity. We are hoping an Outcross with Albion will help their health. We aren't sure if we will keep the Silvermane and Rex together as Rex coats tend to muddle the silvering and we are already trying to better their coats. We are so excited to see more Dwarf in this line again!!
In 2025, we are thinking we will branch to a third line. 🥰 We are thinking Albion's Rex coat will start a Rex/Double Rex line in Standard and Dwarf, but we need to check to see if Alby carries Hairless. 😅
Thanks to all who have joined our Kinni Brook family in 2024. We love you all so much and appreciate you!!!
Excited to see what 2025 will bring!

About Us
Hello. My name is Megan. My husband, Chris, my mother, Becca, and I, founded this Rattery in 2016.
I have been surrounded by animals of all kinds. You name it, my family probably had them at some point.
I still remember my first pair of rats: Sheena and Ben. They were my friends when I was little. I enjoyed their company and they were so smart. They opened my eyes to these amazing creatures.
I have gotten many rats over the years, all from Pet stores. Duchess is another heart rat that I dearly loved. I admit that I was very uneducated. I kept rats in tanks, fed a seed mix, and Duchess had quite a few litters. Eventually I stopped breeding. After Duchess had passed away. I had a very tough time with rats. All from Pet stores and all were skittish and/or aggressive. I got tired of it...
And then I met Mink. She was a 2 year old black rat in the Humane Society. It was love at first sight! She made me realize again how beautiful rats are. This time I learned everything I could. When I discovered rat groups on Facebook, I found breeders in WI. I then realized...I can better the pet rats here in the Twin Cities. So my breeding adventure began with my husband and my mother.
I studied everything I could on breeding and genetics...I still am learning.
I hope you will join our Rattery family. I hope to help you find your Heart rat. ❤️❤️
