A Pit bull named Blue had the unthinkable to happen to him: his family left him behind.

Blue lived with a family in California for about a year, but when the family moved, they decided to not take Blue with them. Blue was surrendered to Carlson Shelter in California, a shelter known as a high-kill facility.

Brazilian priest Juan Pablo takes abandoned dogs off the streets, and feeds and bathes them. Then he introduces a dog to each Mass and to find each one a home. Dozens of stray dogs have families because of this man. We hope this idea catches on. God bless you father😇

At the bar entrance, a sign says this:
We ask all our customers with all our heart not to be bothered by the number of dogs (street) in the Amazon bar. We are a suitable place for pets and love. We give water and food to these sweet angels.

Dan and Meadow are the cutest odd couple and these are the smallest beds we have. Meadow is 5 lbs and fits just fine. Dan is 43 lbs and makes the best of it. We have other beds, bigger beds, the sofa-lots of options. As long as they are happy.
Here is a fun fact, Meadow bosses Dan around, gets right in his face and calls him names like long nose. I’m reasonably sure she has threatened his life on a few occaisions. He doesnt seem to mind, he just keeps on keeping on.❤️
Much thanks tl Aunts Claire and Holly who handled the breakfast shift, to Aunt Beth for spending lots of time with the cold laser and bonus walks. The pups adore her and always line up around her. Lastly, thank you Aunt Holly for coming back for dinner. My back is acting up and I dont think the pups would be too happy being stuck with me as the cook, server, walker and cleaner upper🤣🤣.

Merry news! Mega is back–an annual mega adoption event! Brandywine Valley SPCA , in partnership with Petco Love , BOBS from SKECHERS , and Discover , has joined forces with 9 other area shelters for a collaborative initiative to find homes for pets during the holidays – and BARCS is one of the participating locations! ❤️

This weekend, December 9 and 10, from 11 a.m to 5 p.m., come to BARCS for another pawsome Mega Adoption event and bring the warmth of a furry friend into your home. We're hopeful our shelter animals find loving homes for the holidays!
