Deku’s Last Days: Wednesday, July 26th @ 2pm he was put to sleep due to his kidneys shutting down. We arrived at the emergency vet at around 11am and spent a few hours holding, hugging, snuggling and singing to him during his last waking moments. It was very sudden and unexpected. He’d been just fine and perky before we left in vacation. I’d give anything to have had just one more day with him. 💔
