Tiny House Animal Rescue I've started a small animal rescue in my tiny home!💗 Small animal rescue for guinea pigs and rabbits and chickens :) I may be rescuing Cats in the future!
(4)

If you need help with your cats or cats that you found you can still contact me for help! I am fostering and adopting and taking in animals and could use the help to buy cages, food, and medical care. I am planning on taking more and more animals in depending on how much money I can raise. I have set the goal high as medical care and cages are very expensive and I buy the best food I can to help

the animals stay healthy. Right now I have one foster rabbit, one adopted rabbit, my two dogs, a cat, and my 3 chickens. I am going to take in battery hens and more rabbits soon depending on how much I can raise for money. Thank you,
Amy Drago

We love you so much, Alex. Please tell Shelby we love her. We love you so much . You are such a good boy. We will miss you and we will take good care of Fudge for you. It was a beautiful 7 years loving you. Thankful you got to move with us and have a new adventure here and meet Fudge after Shelby passed. I’m so sorry the days that you felt any suffering as we tried to figure out why you were sick. I’m sorry for the long car rides too. We miss you so much already. We love you.

On Monday, Alex FINALLY is being seen by a vet. I’m so happy he has hung on for his visit. It’s so difficult to find vet care here in CT for bunnies. I’m thankful for all your prayers and please pray for a good outcome for Alex. He is so special to me and of course to Fudge. Since they have been bonded, Fudge is doing so great after losing Gus. Please keep the prayers coming. Thank you everyone.

Somebody do Something "they" said.
I saw the dog in question days ago. I also saw the 30 dogs in rescue and the empty bank account.

Somebody do Something "they" said.
I looked at her sad brown eyes and sighed. And scraped the bottom of the food bag as I fed the dogs I already had.

Somebody do Something "they" said.
I could see she was thin and was losing hair. And was she holding her foot up? I looked at the enormous vet bill and wondered what the vet would say if I brought in another dog.

Somebody do Something "they" said.
And so I sent an email saying I would take her. And laid awake wondering where I would put her. And how would she fit in. And how was I ever going to find homes for them all?

Somebody do Something "they" said.
And tonight "they" will spend time with their families and friends. "They" won't be up 2 hours early to feed and walk the unwanted. "They" won't try to come up with new and novel ways to market, place, and fund the dogs.

"We" will. The rescuers. The ones who donate time and spend our own money and try to raise more. We will lose sleep. And cry over the ones we can't save. And rejoice in the ones we can. We will pull our hair out and swear we are done. And then tomorrow we will do it again. Because rescue touches our soul.

As I lay here with these dogs surrounding me, I have no regrets. Other than ignorance that won't be educated. The dogs and cats who won't be spayed and neutered. The cycle that continue that force us to do this day in and day out.

Somebody do Something "they" said.
I did something. Did you?

Or did you just sit back and judge and complain and tell us what we need to be doing differently because you have a better plan even though you have no clue what you're talking about?

You, the one who has never rescued anything in your life nor fostered nor transported nor held a dying animal in your arms because it could not be saved and probably never donated a dime. The only thing you have ever given is your opinion.

Adopt. Volunteer. Donate. Foster.

Rest in Peace beautiful Shelby. You fought so very hard and we won so many battles but now you are at peace. Alex is going to be ok. I think Fudge will be his comfort and will keep trying with this. We love you so very much it’s so painful and what an awful ache this is. But I know you are happy in a garden of lush kale and every time I grow kale and care for it I will think of your beautiful face munching away. There is so much to say and it’s so hard to share this. All I can say is how much I wish you were here and how much love there is for you. Rest in peace beautiful Shelby. 💔

We love you so much. Please everyone pray for Fudge. She is hiding a lot and refuses to eat. Please pray.

Rest In Peace Gus. We love you so very much. Today we got a 3rd opinion from a vet- I wish we would have had from the very start, but they had no appointments available at the time. Before we gave up, Gus had his final exam. The vet was horrified at the care from the last 2 vets we have received. It was the first vet’s negligence that caused this with Gus. The last vet charged us thousands and told us to amputate and of course thousands more. After the 2nd vet who charged us thousands found out we didn’t want to do the amputation as we were unsure for Gus if it was right due to his age he decided he didn’t have any time to put Gus to rest. His schedule was too full for him. By then we finally had our appointment today and when this 3rd vet walked in to see Gus I knew he was good. I knew he wasn’t scamming us to try to make more $ and he had compassion. He said it’s so bad now we shouldn’t operate and amputation would be awful for him and he wouldn’t do well. He said to let him go. He was loving and gentle and professional. The entire office was amazing. And so Gus is gone. He’s gone. I can’t even believe it. Please pray for us all but for Fudge especially. She is hiding and shaking and very upset. We love you Gus. This has certainly been a hell for Gus, Ron, Fudge, and I. It has been a terrible experience but I’m so thankful in the end we had a loving vet who cared. Thank you to everyone today who showed us compassion.

Please pray for Fudge as she is losing her partner . The reason Fudge is doing so well is Gus. He has made her so much better with her disabilities.

We have to euthanize Gus. After spending thousands with extreme neglected care from previous RI vet, which was so horrid and horrific that the mass grew larger and became infected so the only answer is amputation and the er vet feels it would be very bad for Gus and recovery is not likely, we have to give up. This has been an awful experience. Sadly, we haven’t raised much money for this, thank you to Chas, who helped us. After this experience without any help, I am so very sad to say, we are closing Tiny House. We still have 3 bunnies and 2 of them have severe disabilities and I can only pray and help we can have more help with Shelby in the future. Obviously, we still have them. But I will not take anymore bunnies or kitties in. It’s such a heavy sorrow to say this. I appreciate those who have helped with donations in the past. Every single cent was used to care and vet and adopt out 27 animals. And this was all done from our home in Bessemer. We worked so hard to accomplish this and all of this with a struggling income but we gave and gave and gave. We had to move to CT after we were forced from our Little home and thanks to Chas, we were able to transport the 4 bunnies here. None of this has been easy!!!!We spent hours and still do on their care. I cannot keep up with the vet bills here. After $1800.00 we have no answers for Gus (but to euthanize him)and the price to lay him to rest is $270.00! What a slap! It’s been a horrid and draining experience trying to find help in New England. Truly I miss our rabbit vet in Ohio at Town and Country. Thank You to everyone in the past who has helped along the way.
