Another big, exciting day in the life of the pups! Made the pen two panels bigger so they could have their slide, graduated to real food and had a visit from the cutest little puppy socializer in Mount Vernon, Lane Shoemaker. (They also got a second larger potty pan, but that wasn’t as exciting 🤣)

Big weekend. Puppies had a visit from Grandma and Grandpa (Sonja and Bob) plus Todd Farwell and Rob. Then they moved to new bigger digs. We weren’t so good about taking people pictures but here’s the puppies!

Somebody turned on the puppy switch! Everyone’s eyes are open and they are starting to toddle around the box. A(nother LOL) bedding change and 144 toenail trims later, they are settled back in with mom for breakfast.

Pleased to announce the arrival of the “Cocktail” litter!

Birdie presented us with 9 lovely puppies starting at 12:03 am on 6/28. 5 boys and 4 girls. Everyone is happy and healthy and Birdie is being an excellent mom. Many thanks to the crack whelping team of Maria White, Sandy Muer, Chris Vining and Robin Liss!

Ripley (Windy Hill Believe It Or Not - Mickey x Taylor) was a star today in PA. He went WD/BOW/BOS for a 4 point major! Windy (GCHB Northern Lights Over Windy Hill) win BOB. And the Father’s Day presents keep rolling in for Bob! Wonder what they will give him tomorrow? Thanks Angie, Jason and Ashley! ❤️❤️

We are having puppies!! Pleased to announce that Birdie (CH Windy Hill Bye Bye Birdie) is pregnant with Simon (GCHG Windy Hill Disco Dancer JH) puppies. Birdie is one of our lovely, young Odin and Kate daughters. Simon was a top show dog in his day, with multiple group placement and was winners dog at the 2011 National Specialty. Litter brother to Macy (GCHP Windy Hill Dance to the Music SH). Sadly, we lost Simon in 2021 just shy of 12 years old but thanks to modern science, his genes can still contribute to the breed.

When Birdie went for her ultrasound, her vet said "I quit counting at 9!" so we may have an extra puppy or two. Inquiries please to Bob Rickert at [email protected]

Big news from Delaware!! Andrew (GChG Windy Hill Live Changes Everything) is now a Junior Hunter!! Many thanks to Beth Sokohl for training and handling our boy to his title. He has enjoyed every moment of this time with you and Kelly. We believe this will qualify Andrew for the FCRSA Hall of Fame.

Windy (GCH Northern Lights Over Windy Hill - Andrew x Kindi) and Angie took Delaware by storm! Four days, four Best of Breed wins, and two Group 4’s! We are so proud of her! Thank you to all the judges who recognized her quality these past four days and to Angie, Jason, Ashley and crew who always ensure Windy shines!

Thanks to the Capital Region FCRC for a wonderful supported entry weekend at MSDA. Not wanting to be upstaged by Windy, our youngster Ripley (Windy Hill Believe It Or Not - Mickey x Taylor) had a great weekend. He was WD/BOW for a 5pt major on Saturday and then Best in Puppy Sweeps and RWD on Sunday. Thank you to Kass Goulding for the Sweepstakes win. Windy followed up her Group 3 on Friday, with a Best of Breed win on Saturday and SB to the lovely Twist on Sunday. Thanks as always to our teammate and friend Angela Lloyd! Congratulations to all the winners. Hope to see you all in Florida in April.

Maria had to stay in Ohio with a bad head cold, but that will not stop the rest of Team Windy Hill from celebrating tonight in Maryland!! Our girl Windy (GCh Northern Lights Over Windy Hill - Andrew x Kindi) got a Sporting Group 3 today at the Maryland Sporting Dog Show! Thank you Angela Lloyd for helping Windy’s star to shine and also to breed and group judge Mrs. Kathy Lorentzen for this exciting win. Team Windy Hill would also like to congratulate Dawn Buttion and Azula on their OH Group 2!

Team Windy Hill sure had fun at the CRFCRC Supported Entry in Maryland yesterday! Our youngster, Ripley, Windy Hill Believe It or Not (Mickey x Taylor) won Best In Sweepstakes, thank you to Judge Rusty Morton. Then, in her first appearance back in the ring since the National, Windy, *CH Northern Lights Over Windy Hill (Andrew x Kindi), picked up her third 5 point major to finish in style under Judge Nena Dee. Thank you Angie and Jason for all you do ❤️ for our team. Congratulations to all of the winners yesterday. Have a great show today!

WOW! What a weekend! Announcing our NEW CHAMPION Windy Hill Bye Bye Birdie co-owned with Chris and Paul Vining, Birdie is one of our lovely girls from the Odin x Kate litter. This weekend in New Jersey, Birdie was Best of Breed from the classes making the cut in a strong group on Friday, WB to finish on Saturday and Best of Breed today for her first time in the ring as a special. We are looking forward to a bright future with this young star. Many thanks to Angela Lloyd and Jason Bailey for making it look effortless in the heat and rain.

Hottie continues her winning ways with a Group 2 today at the Virginia Kennel Club show in Doswell, VA. Thank you so much Judge Paula Nykiel for this win! Thank you also goes out to Elliott Weiss for her Group 4 last weekend in PA at the Bryn Mawr Kennel Club show. Hottie is the Number 1 Flat-coat (All Breed) and is always beautifully presented by Angela Lloyd and Jason Bailey. Thank you both for all you do.

Team Windy Hill is so pleased and proud of our new young team! Angie and Windy won best of breed in the AKC & Royal Canin Puppy and Junior Sweepstakes today. And to put the icing on the cake, they made the cut in the Sporting Group. Our little 6 month old whirlwind made it look like she has been showing for years. It made us so proud when the announcers commented on Windy’s ever wagging tail and said that she was having the best day of her life. That’s Windy 💖🌪️ Thanks to Mr. Clay Coady for the win.

Team Windy Hill is happy to report that Andrew (GCHG Windy Hill Love Changes Everything) and Angie had a fantastic time in Richmond, VA!! Andrew picked up a Group 2 on Friday with thanks to Judge Karen C. Wilson, followed by a Group 3 on Saturday with thanks to Judge Brian Meyer. Then on Sunday, Andrew won the Sporting Group!! Many thanks to Judge Elizabeth Muthard for this exciting win. Andrew was beautifully presented, as always, by team member, Angela Lloyd. Thanks Angie and Jason!

We are so happy to be back among family and friends at FCRSA 2022 National Specialty Show. Team Windy Hill is beaming with pride and admiration.

Our girl “KATE” GCHG Windy Hill Royal Darling JH adds an AOM to her cap today after winning Select Bitch at the 2019 national and Best Of Winners at the 2017 National specialties.

While her Cousin “ANDREW”, GCHG Windy Hill Love Changes Everything adds Select Dog to his cap today after being the BOS in puppy Sweeps at the 2017 and Winners Dog/Best of Opposite S*x at the 2018 National Specialty

At this evenings banquet there wasn’t a dry eye at the table as we remembered Mary and Marv Farwell who are deeply missed by all and who have been our foundation.

Congratulations to everyone on their successes. We can’t wait to see you again next year!

Team Windy Hill had a great day at the Maryland Sporting Dog show! Our Kate and Odin puppies, Porter (Windy Hill Night and Day) and Hollie (Windy Hill Embraceable You) made their dog show debut. In their first show, Porter went WD/BOW for a 5 pt major and won Best of Opposite S*x in the Sweepstakes. Hollie had a great time and won her sweepstakes class.

Andrew (GCHG Windy Hill Love Changes Everything) won Best of Breed and made the cut in a lovely sporting group. His sister Abby (CH Windy Hill Maybe I’m Amazed), owned by Jeff and Vivian Koontz, picked up a GCH major by winning Select Bitch.

It was a truly lovely day, spent with friends and watching a quality lineup of dogs. It doesn’t get much better than that. Congratulations to everyone!
