Gray Face Acres has still been busy with finding homes for a few more dogs in Idaho Falls before we permanently close our doors on DECEMBER 31st 2023. Kyla goes to her new home this Monday! Beautiful Jasper went to his foster home with Journey Home Rescue in Washington. Sweet older girl Sophie was adopted by the Kluvers family and Cooper went home with Connie! We have also helped some local people with dentals and other medical needs for their senior dogs! So grateful to all who have supported Gray Face Acres over the years! We accomplished so much!!

Loving picking up my colored pencils again. Did this one today for a good friend whose sweet dog has been with her and her husband for 14 years, and she is not doing well. I hope she loves it💟

Available for adoption! These 2 are in Idaho Falls.

Meet Riley and Peanut!! They did come from the same home, but are not a bonded pair, so can be adopted together or separately.
❤Riley is a 5 year old female Rat Terrier. She is the black and tan with white body. She is spayed and weighs about 15lbs. She also just had a dental. Foster mom says she is shy at first, then sticks like glue! She is perfectly housetrained and does fine with the other dogs in the house. She mostly loves to be with her humans!
❤Peanut is an adorable 10 year old healthy and chunky Pomeranian/Corgi mix. He is a very cute, outgoing and affectionate. He is also perfectly housetrained. Peanut lost all of his teeth in his dental, but does fine with a small bite kibble mixed with some soft food.
He also does fine with other dogs and seems to love all people.
Foster mom reports they are both loving, sweet companions who are smart and have learned their routine quickly!

Mama and her babies are thriving! They love visitors, and being held and cuddled. They will be ready for their forever homes in about 6 more weeks!! They are Chihuahua mixes🥰

So many updates to catch up on! Our sweet boy Ozzie went to his forever home in Montana and is settling right in with his two furry housemates. So happy he is where he will be loved forever! Anna Russell Struhs , Theresa Oram . Thanks so much to Theresa for fostering him, and Anna for transport to Montana!

Update- in Idaho Falls

Mama and babies all set up at home. They had their first vet visit, and mama is younger than originally thought to be. Maybe only 3 years old. And 3 healthy baby girls💓💓💓 about 5 weeks old.

IN IDAHO FALLS
This sweet senior mama and her 3 new pups were found in a crate in a hotel parking lot, and are currently at the Snake River Animal shelter. I will be welcoming them to Gray Face Acres tomorrow!!! Stay tuned for more about these precious babies!

Our sweet boy Ozzie is on his way to his forever home in Montana this morning! Thank you so much to Anna for driving him all the way to Missoula from Idaho Falls...on her day off!!! What an angel! And thank you to Theresa for fostering him. It surely takes a village to make all of these great things happen!

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION- OZZIE IS IN IDAHO FALLS

We don't know why our sweet boy Ozzie has not been adopted!! His foster mom reports that he is quite the perfect boy. He loves his humans, loves to watch out the window, is perfectly housetrained and doggy door trained, and is really pretty healthy. He is a 13 year old pug mix with long legs. He also gets along great with dogs and cats!! He would be a great companion for a senior person!! For more info text 703-505-9443.

❤❤Love seeing Marty so content and super comfy!! He had an abusive past and I promised he he will be safe and loved forever more. It took a little time for him to believe it, but I think he knows now. I kiss his soft nose and tell him how loved he is every day🥰

Teebo was the best little boy at the vet today. His cushings disease is pretty advanced, but seems to be managed pretty well with his medication. The super good news is that his foster moms have agreed to be his forever home where he has a new friend, gfa alum Sammy!! Gray Face Acres will continue to cover Teebo's medications. If anyone can donate 30 or 40 mg Trilostane/ Vetoryl, that would be so appreciated. If you can help, text 703-505-9443.

Lucy the mini Doxy and her sweet little sister Abby the Chihuahua went home to Wyoming where they joined GFA alumni Skeeter. They each have their own person and lap! Happy forever to all 3 of you, and thank you Nancy for making the 8 hour drive for the second time!

💔 Sometimes senior rescue is really heartbreaking.

Spunky Soso has crossed the rainbow 🌈 bridge. She was a fighter and had a wonderful life with her furever family. We wish she could’ve had more time showered by their love and care, but we are grateful for her last months.

From Mama Amy…

It is with a heavy heart that I announce we had to say goodbye to Soso aka “Tiny Dancer” today. We had the privilege of caring for and loving Soso for the past nine months. Initially we took her as a foster but after her myriad of medical problems were clear, she became a fospice who would live out the remainder of her life with us. Though she was senior, Soso was a sassy old lady who had no problem letting you know what she wanted. Usually she wanted food but she would also demand to be lifted on the couch so she could sit next to her people. It will be hard to get up tomorrow morning without my small, furry alarm clock- breakfast, after all, was her favorite time to sing. She would yell and prance until she got her food, earning Soso her “Tiny Dancer” nickname. Soso loved following us around, snuggling with her pitbull sister, walking around the yard, and sunbathing during the summer months.

Our time with her was short but she was very loved and she will always be a part of her family. Rest easy sweet girl. ❤️

Dance in heaven, Soso, until you can dance with your family again 💙🖤

Marty is doing so well since being neutered, having cherry eye repair surgery, and a dental. He seems so much more comfortable and sleeps so peacefully now😴❤

Welcome to Gray Face Acres adorable, chunky Teebo! Picked him up in Shelley Idaho and took him to his foster MOMS in Idaho Falls. Many thanks to Marie and Laurie...first time fosters, for saying yes when I asked😇😇❤Teebo's owner passed away, so this sweet boy will be looking for his forever home. He has been very well taken care of, with all vetting current. We will spend a little time getting to know him!
And...he loves car rides!

Looking for a forever home for this cute little Dumpling! He is currently in Shelley Idaho. His owner recently passed away. His name is Teebo,and he is 9 years old, neutered and up to date on vaccines. He is house trained and doggy door trained. He would be a great companion for a senior person or couple. He is happy to be an only dog, but gets along with other dogs, and cats as well. He needs to find his forever home, or a foster home this weekend.
