Our Story

Hello! Im Dr. Seth Beyers and I am from a small farming town in Illinois. Over the past decade I have learned so many things about the field of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, I took the best job offer I had, and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. I was at a huge (11 doctors!) small animal general practice. I loved the people I worked with and had excellent mentorship from the older doctors, which is critical your first years out of veterinary school. Currently, I am the medical director at a small animal practice in the Chicago land area!

When I was in vet school, my favorite time was spent in the “Integrative Medicine’ department. During this rotation, we would sit down with clients, really get to know them and the patient, which really helped us tailor to our patient’s needs and our client’s goals. On this service we would often end up with patients, whose owners had heard that dreaded phrase, “There’s nothing else we can do for you.” Some of the pets may be young or middle- aged, but often these were geriatric patients with chronic arthritis, kidney disease, or a number of issues that people may call “old dog or old cat problems.” Often times the patient’s quality of life was deteriorating, and we were the last thing standing between them and euthanasia.

Holistic/Integrative medicine such as Nutritional Supplements, Essential Oils, Acupuncture, Chiropractic and Laser therapy were life changing for many of our patients. The overwhelming results and client satisfaction I witnessed was beyond inspiring. Out of all my rotations, I felt most “at home” while practicing this form of medicine. So after a couple years of practicing traditional medicine, I started becoming educated to practice holistic and integrative medicine.

It is very important to me that my clients understand that what I do can be extremely helpful to their pets in a number of ways. But in no way what I do replaces all forms of Western Medicine. I do not believe that there is only one correct form of medicine thats perfect for every patient. An integrative approach of both Western Medicine and alternative options will provide the very best health care for our pets!
