Introducing 8 new little bunnies to the Davis Farm.

Our dear friends are headed out to work and live on the mission field in South America long term, and they needed to rehome these sweet bunnies. You can tell how loved and cared for they were. They are so gentle and already very sweet.

Gucci and Me Cow popping in your feed to say hello. The farm has been pretty quiet this summer. With all the rain, it’s made for those slow, relaxing times around here. We are soaking up every second we can before school starts back. We do have Catta expecting kittens again and Willow will be having her next litter of puppies in September. Lots of fun ahead but lots of sweet memories in the meantime

We’ve waited three yrs for our fig tree to grow back. It died all the way back to the ground in the big freeze in January 2021. Last yr we only got 3 figs off it. And now, it’s coming back in FUUL PRODUCTION!

For those who were wondering how Harry is doing. He is adjusting very well to be an indoors only cat. He occasionally still tries to escape out the door, but he doesn’t go far and quickly runs back inside. The amputation didn’t slow him down much. He’s SO fast on just 3 legs! He’s such a sweetheart! He lets the kids hug around his neck and he loves all the attention he’s getting. He’s one loved kitty

The purple color in the lower right side, that’s the aurora lights, from the solar storm we had last night. From the naked eye, it looked like a slightly different color than the other sky, but with the night mode on my phone, it captured the lights. It wasn’t as vibrant as some other people saw it, but I’m happy to get this little bit of it

Yesterday was Harry’s big day, getting his leg amputated. He had to stay at the clinic overnight for observation. I’ve missed him so much today! I can’t wait to pick him up today!

Update on Harry: vet said his leg injury looks like it probably happened about 2 months ago. Doesn’t look like it was bit but caught in something. He said he will need to have it amputated. His surgery is scheduled for next Wednesday. If you’d like to help with this unexpected vet bill, please consider buying a bracelet from us. We can mail it to you if you aren’t close by. His bill so far is close to $700 and this is the cheapest vet around, they were very kind to us.
Other than his leg, they said Harry is very healthy and his body has done well with what all it has had to overcome

Today we had such an amazing surprise! Our sweet Harry had been missing for about a year. Someone had posted a picture of him late last summer, and he was about 5 miles away. Somehow Harry made his way back home!
Me and the kids have mourned him being gone, he’s is such a sweet kitty, so seeing him walk up today was such an amazing feeling! Unfortunately with his adventure, he got injured. His back leg is in ruff shape, and will probably need amputation 🫣 Even with his injury, he’s purring and meowing at us, rubbing his head against us, being so sweet. I’m going to take him to the vet in the morning, to see what the extent of his injury is, but I’ve gotten a ruff estimate of what it cost to amputate, and I was shocked at the price. So to raise some extra money to help with Harry’s vet bill, we will be selling some bracelets. Every little bit helps with this unexpected high vet bill.
