The Chausie breed was created by crossing a domestic cat, usually Abyssinian, with an African Jungle Cat, making for a beautifully interesting and exotic-looking cat. The Chausie is a large breed of cat with a tall, long, lean profile. Their long, strong legs enable them to make vertical leaps as high as 6 feet! The males range from 16 to 35 lbs., with the females somewhat smaller. In spite of the

ir large size, they are graceful, athletic and very fast. Chausie coats come in colors of golden, black or silver-tipped. The kittens’ coats show spots or stripes, but change to a ticked pattern, with bars or stripes on the legs as adults. The coat is sleek, shiny and easy to care for, requiring little grooming, and they are typically very healthy cats. These intelligent cats are of an active type, and do require a lot of attention, but are enjoyably trainable to the leash, and like water-play. The Chausie is a loyal, playful, unique companion to your family and your other pets, and is a great addition to your home
