I'm not ashamed to admit it: I'm the laziest dog parent on the planet. Like, I make sloths look like they're on Red Bull.

But I've found a way to cheat the system (and my dog's attention span) with the ultimate life hack: a leash tied to my furniture 24/7!

No more getting up to grab the leash from the garage, no more awkward mailman encounters, and no more actual effort required! Just me, my couch, and my trusty sidekick on a leash.

Sure, sometimes they get tangled up like a furry game of Twister, but hey, it's a small price to pay for not having to move from my Netflix binge-watching spot.

The moral of the story? A tethered leash is the key to a happy (and ridiculously lazy) household. So, stay lazy, my friends, and let the good times roll!

Just finished a new video featuring the trusty sidekick, Thea, the GSD puppy, and our game-changing training method: 2 Bowls 1 Dog!

Who needs a fancy slow feeder when you can multitask during mealtime? I use this genius technique to teach Thea new skills while she's chomping down on her favorite kibble (or raw/wet food—it works for all you fancy foodies out there!).

Thea's got the E-collar game on lock, responding to levels that are undetectable to humans (I'm pretty sure she's secretly training me).

In this video, we tackle recall, place skills, loose walk, and the most epic command of all: "Go play!" (seriously, it's like a doggy party every time she hears it).

Follow these tips to ensure a stress-free Independence Day for your pup:
1️⃣ Desensitize your dog to fireworks sounds (aka fart sounds and hot air 🤣)
2️⃣ Create a doggy panic room ( minus the panic)
3️⃣ Tire them out with a pre-fireworks adventure
4️⃣ Stay calm and patient (or fake it like my ex 🤣)

Remember, if all else fails, you can always hide under the bed with your dog - after all, that's what I'll be doing! 😂

From Chicken Slayer to Model Citizen: Nahla's Redemption Story.

Meet Nahla, the Pitbull who went from zero to hero (after a brief stint as a chicken-napping, yard-crashing outlaw).

After a little "incident" with the neighbor's feathered friend, Nahla found herself in the doggy slammer, followed by a stint on doggy probation. But we believed in her (and her potential for good, not evil).

We've spent the last few lessons teaching Nahla the basics: "Don't eat the chicken," "Don't go through the fence like the Kool Aid Man," and "Please, for the love of all things fluffy, don't chase the geese!" And today, we're putting her to the test at Wash Park in Denver – the ultimate doggy playground.

As you can see, Wash Park is like doggy Disneyland – geese honking, pretty ladies strolling by, and enough sights and sounds to distract even the most focused furry friend. But Nahla's all like, "Nah, I got this. I woke up and chose Non-Violence."

She's crushing it – staying focused, listening to commands, and showing off her newfound self-control.

We're ridiculously proud of Nahla and her progress. She's living proof that with a little patience, love, and proper training, even the most troubled dogs can turn their lives around (and leave their chicken-chasing days behind).

My name is Lance Stanley, I am the head trainer and owner at Ready Sit Go Dog Training. I have the privilege and honor of working with my best friends every day. Let’s be honest, I don’t speak dog, but I have furry friends who are fluent in both dog and human. They make my job easier and rewarding. I have dedicated my life to training dogs and here is the little story that has put me on this amazing and rewarding journey. My first exposure to dogs and the amazing things they do was in the strangest of places...

I was a Marine before I became a professional dog trainer. While in Iraq I was able to watch these amazing dogs save lives and bring Americans home.

I will never forget the day that changed my life forever…

Now, this is not one of those sad or scary war stories…

It is a story about me being bored one day and how that changed the path of my life forever.

While in the Marine Corps you learn to hurry up and wait. Believe me, we were also in a hurry so we always ended up waiting. One day I was bored out my mind when I saw a Military working dog walking through the compound. They were walking right towards me and I am not going to lye this dog was intimidating. The handler and I started talking and he wanted to know if I wanted to “Have some fun”.

I was so bored I said “let’s do it” right away. With a smile the handler said “Great… start running… I am going to send my dog after you!” At this point, I knew I should probably go clean a weapon instead and I started to hesitate. The guy said “Don’t worry… I will call him off before he bites you.”

Do not ever forget a Board Marine is a Marine who is about to get into trouble. I took my blouse off and started to run. No joke he sent that fur missile right after me. I turned around and he was gaining ground on me by the second. I have never seen anything move that fast before. I closed my eyes and expected to lose an arm or leg. All I felt was a cold nose on my arm. The handler was able to call him off in mid from 100 yards away.

I could not believe my eyes. How could this human have so much control of animal so far away from him?

I was always amazed by the control the handlers had over the military working dogs. The experiences I had overseas really stuck with me and I wanted the same control and lifelong bond with my own dog. I became obsessed with how to communicate and train dogs. Once I was able to train my own dog I couldn’t stop there. I started training every dog I could get my hands on. I truly am blessed to turn my passion into a career. Over the last decade, I have helped thousands of dogs and the humans they love.
