Eight weeks old and off to their new homes for wonderful Cairn Terrier adventures...
It's been a big week with health testing (with fantastic results) big car trips to the vet, vaccinations, microchipping, our first bath...the list goes on.

This is a repeat litter of our lovely pair Connor - who was just awarded Best In Show at Hawkes Bay Terrier Show last weekend and multi In Show winners Buffy.

These little cuties turned 6 wks last Friday and had their first vaccination and vet check with perfect results. Next week is blood test time for Acid Bile to check for Liver Shunt (a recommended test for Cairn Terriers by Dogs NZ) to make sure everything is as it should be.

On the weekend their full brother Connor was Best of Group x2 and then Junior In Show. There half sister Cora was Baby Puppy of Group x3 and Baby Puppy in Show. Cora's brother Brody was Baby Puppy of Group x1.

Over the last few weeks we have been around the country with the dogs.
At Taupo Caelin was awarded his third Best In Show All Breeds to gain the title
🌟NZ GR CH Oakway Dream It Possible 🌟
Only the 2nd Cairn Terrier to achieve this prestigious award in NZ history, and the first home bred dog.
Connor was also junior of Group. And Otis won Reserve In Show at the Waikato Working Dog Show.
Then we were off to Tauranga for an FCI show where both Caelin and Otis won their groups. Caelin then went on to win Best In Show 3rd.
Cora also won a couple of baby of groups.

Then off to the German Shepherd Dog National in Christchurch.

🥇🥇🥉Both Monty and Otis were awarded the top honors of Gold Medal Winning Males, Monty LSC and Otis SC. Then Vinny took out the Bronze Medal from the Junior class. Making it three generations of medal winners at one National...a new piece of NZ history. 🥇🥇🥉
🥈In the girls Tweed won NZB and was awarded the silver medal🥈

2x Waikato GSD Club shows were we won some beautiful prizes including Otis being awarded Best In Show both days, Jade and Annie had turns at Reserve in Show. Frankie, Kookie, Mela also picked up class in show awards. Two special shows for us as it was Mums Memorial shows.
Then back home to rain and mud which the dogs love...us not so much.
Then back to Huntly Show at Cambridge for the Cairn. The babies Cora and Brody made their debut, Cora beating Brody this time around and getting a baby of group with tough competition. She also was 3rd in Baby puppy stakes. Then back home for more rain and mud.
With the GSD National only 3 weeks away our priority is on that....getting close!!

Oakway R litter...turned 6 weeks last Tuesday... big trip to the vet for vaccination and health check. All passed but flying colours.
They will soon be leaving us for their new wonderful families.

It is with much excitement we announce the arrival of our Oakway 'R' litter.
On Tuesday Eden whelped 7 beautiful babies to Simba.
Thank you to Penny Alder and Lee and John Martin's for the opportunity of bringing Simba into our kennels. Also thanks to Jen at True Vets for making this litter possible with the AI.

We have 4 gorgeous boys, and 3 lovely girls which are happy, healthy and already crawling around the whelping box like their a week old!

The Cairn Terrier babies were 5 weeks on Saturday. Starting to get to that naughty age where they are into everything. They're so much fun, developing their own little personality, such special little dogs.
