- each have their own puppy folder which includes a 5-generation pedigree, photos of sire & dam, helpful information with do's & don'ts.

Over the last few weeks we have been around the country with the dogs.
At Taupo Caelin was awarded his third Best In Show All Breeds to gain the title
🌟NZ GR CH Oakway Dream It Possible 🌟
Only the 2nd Cairn Terrier to achieve this prestigious award in NZ history, and the first home bred dog.
Connor was also junior of Group. And Otis won Reserve In Show at the Waikato Working Dog Show.
Then we were off to Tauranga for an FCI show where both Caelin and Otis won their groups. Caelin then went on to win Best In Show 3rd.
Cora also won a couple of baby of groups.

Then off to the German Shepherd Dog National in Christchurch.

🥇🥇🥉Both Monty and Otis were awarded the top honors of Gold Medal Winning Males, Monty LSC and Otis SC. Then Vinny took out the Bronze Medal from the Junior class. Making it three generations of medal winners at one National...a new piece of NZ history. 🥇🥇🥉
🥈In the girls Tweed won NZB and was awarded the silver medal🥈

2x Waikato GSD Club shows were we won some beautiful prizes including Otis being awarded Best In Show both days, Jade and Annie had turns at Reserve in Show. Frankie, Kookie, Mela also picked up class in show awards. Two special shows for us as it was Mums Memorial shows.
Then back home to rain and mud which the dogs love...us not so much.
Then back to Huntly Show at Cambridge for the Cairn. The babies Cora and Brody made their debut, Cora beating Brody this time around and getting a baby of group with tough competition. She also was 3rd in Baby puppy stakes. Then back home for more rain and mud.
With the GSD National only 3 weeks away our priority is on that....getting close!!

Oakway R litter...turned 6 weeks last Tuesday... big trip to the vet for vaccination and health check. All passed but flying colours.
They will soon be leaving us for their new wonderful families.

DNA tested for Degenerative myelopathy (DM). They have undergone a breed survey through The German Shepherd Dog Advisory Council which includes temperament tests & breed assessment before they are eligible for breeding.

From our R litter whelped 15 July 2024 we are taking expressions of interest.

It is with much excitement we announce the arrival of our Oakway 'R' litter.
On Tuesday Eden whelped 7 beautiful babies to Simba.
Thank you to Penny Alder and Lee and John Martin's for the opportunity of bringing Simba into our kennels. Also thanks to Jen at True Vets for making this litter possible with the AI.

We have 4 gorgeous boys, and 3 lovely girls which are happy, healthy and already crawling around the whelping box like their a week old!

The Cairn Terrier babies were 5 weeks on Saturday. Starting to get to that naughty age where they are into everything. They're so much fun, developing their own little personality, such special little dogs.

Confirmed by ultrasound my beautiful Eden is having babies to the outstanding Simba.
Thanks to Penny Alderhaus for making this happen.
This is a combination I've wanted to do since Simba first arrived in Aust.
Simba is breed in the Purple and we are extremely exciting to meet these babies in a few weeks time.

Caelin and Skye's beautiful babies have arrived. We imported Skye from the famous Joymont Kennels in Australia renowned for high quality Cairn Terriers.
We are very excited for the future of this litter.
These babies will be raised on Purina Pro Plan.

We do have one female we are taking expressions of interest for.
Cairn Terriers are a wonderful little dog, but they are Terrier, they require a fully fenced, secure property.

Our new babies made their debut with both Johnny Cash - Oakway Quort in the Act - and Mila - Oakway Queen of Hearts - taking out Baby Puppy in Show 3x.

Annie - Oakway Obsession and Vinny - Oakway On Point also shared the puppy in shows over all six shows.

Dena - Billington All a Glitter at Oakway was a little naked but managed two Junior in Shows in Christchurch and won her class at Wellington.

Kyra - Oakway Keep It Real was juggled around from NZ Bred to Intermediate but got in shows in both Waikato and Wellington.

Harper - Oakway Hypnotic - back from her litter was 2nd to Jade with a few reserve bi***es, then at Wellington was reserve to her half sister Tweed and finished with Best bitch on Sunday at Wellington.

Lola and Kookie made their specialist debuts with Lola - Oakway Play It again coming home with a couple of minor in shows. Kookie - Oakway Playin for Keeps - is still learning to keep four feet on the ground.

Thanks also to Vicky Martin and Charleen Ewing for staying and looking after the oldies and the terriers. Then Janine and Vicky travelling away with Renee. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Congratulations to the three clubs for their well run shows. Thank you to judges for appreciating our animals.
