A few people have been in touch wondering if the book that Turid Rugaas and I have written about puppies is available in English yet.

The answer is still ‘no’ but the great news is that today we signed a publishing contract with CRC Press, and the English language edition *will* be hitting the shelves in 2022- probably by autumn-time.

As always, I will post updates as I have them!

As well as their excellent harnesses, another favourite of mine are their leather leashes. These are lovely and soft in the hand and come in 3,5 and 10m lengths.

🐾Being a home office dog is truly exhausting! Today, Lughna is my PA as I type up client notes, schedule appointments and do some work on a dog-related course. The main assistance she provides is issuing the occasional sigh and reminding me when it’s lunchtime! 😍

The power of social walks! I’ll be sending out July dates this weekend- you can subscribe to the newsletter over on www.happyofficedogs.com to be kept up to date with the social walk schedule!

🐶 Having a very reactive dog can be a bit tricky when you’re a dog trainer… Having your dog screaming obscenities at the other local dogs as they politely pass by on the other side of the road isn’t exactly the best image! 😬

I’ve been working really hard on Lughna’s social skills since we got her towards the end of last year- we’ve done lots of parallel walks with nice dogs, and I’ve been planning her walks with military precision so she doesn’t end up in difficult situations with off-lead dogs running up to her.

Today, she came along to her second social walk class (you know, so she could show me up in front of my clients!!!), and she played a blinder!

Having witnessed the power of social walks first over a decade ago when I brought Alfie to Winkie Spiers’s classes in London, it’s great to be seeing them beginning to work their magic with Lughna too. Here she is, casually strolling with 4 other dogs…🐾
