Yelena proving she's not just a pretty face, although I'm pretty sure the first time she did this was an accident 😂
Breeder based in the Todmorden ( outside Manchester, UK). Breeding primarily for Russian Blue Agouti.

Yelena proving she's not just a pretty face, although I'm pretty sure the first time she did this was an accident 😂
3rd and finally sweet little Tristan. The youngest of my Keeper Bucks, he's a real sweetheart. A gentle lad with a calm steady nature.
Introducing Gareth my 2nd keeper Buck. He's a sweet, gently curious lad. A lovely mix of people and adventure focused.
Introducing Galahad, the 1st of my Buck keepers.
As the photos show, he's an energetic lad, who loves to explore and would always prefer to be on the go.
My 4th and last keeper Doe, the incredibly hard to photograph Yelena. Yelena is an adventurous and busy girl, who has already managed to evade me at an evening feed and spent a night out of her cage. She boldly announced herself to me in the morning, walking straight up to me and waiting for me to place her back in the cage.
3rd we have Natasha, I promise she isn't Wanda 🤣 but the cousins do love a tandom wheel run. Natasha is a calm girl who is happy to sit on my shoulder as well as explore.
(Picture of the cousins together as well)
2nd we have the wonderful Wanda, she's an energetic girl who loves nothing more than stretching her legs in the wheel, and who thinks I am the stopper of fun and isn't afraid to let me know by showing off her muscles as she wiggles 🤣
(2 pics as she didn't stay still)
Sorry it's been a while since I posted, life's been busy. I'm aware I have quite a few applications to respond too, I'll hopefully get to those next week.
As I haven't done it yet, I'm going to introduce my keepers from my last round of litters.
1st up we have Diana, an independent lady who loves to investigate all new things, she's always first to the bars when I enter the room and just an all round sweetheart.
Kapps girls and Mum Schnapps watching me clean cages. Apparently I make great rat TV 😁
Kapps first ever per fishing experience, it's been a little too cold until now.
Some of these boys are still looking for homes and will be ready to go in 2 weeks time. If you'd are interested in offering them a home, please complete the application form below:

The Bucks from the Kapps and Krays moved in together after a free roam session. Happy to say the cousins are all getting along well.
Last of the Krays Bucks head off to their forever home tomorrow and it'll be the Kapps turn in 2 weeks.
The nose you can see is Great Grandma Gwen, who is currently living with Kraken and the Krays. The Krays turned 8 weeks old and are heading off to their new homes shortly. I'll be introducing my keepers this week.
When the best thing to do on free roam is stay in the hut and play fight your siblings 🤣
The Kapps are growing up and Schnapps did a great job keeping all 13 alive on what ended up being only 5 functional ni***es. They are now eating solids and are big enough to start exploring the free roam area.
The Krays are growing quickly and are so much fun.
All 13 Kapps are still with us and Schnapps seems to be settling into Motherhood.
The Krays are getting more adventurous and starting to enjoy free roam. Although they are also in the explore the world with their mouths phase, and that includes me 🤣
We welcomed the Kapps, 15 were born unfortunately we lost 2 kittens over the last 24hrs. It isn't unusual especially with larger litters for a few kittens not to make it.
At the moment Schnapps, unlike her sister, is struggling a bit as a Mother. So we will see how they get on and keep everything crossed.
The Krays and Kraken got a little cage upgrade today, they are just starting to explore the world around them after opening their eyes a few days ago.
Kraken has been a fab Mum and all 14 Krays are doing well.
At the silky hippo stage, I can now see that I have a lovely range of varieties and ear placements 😍
All 14 beans still with us and ears have started unfolding today. At first glance I have 9 Does and 5 Bucks. Kraken is doing a fantastic job, an attentive but relaxed Mother. Who keeps a close eye on her babies, but is always keen to see me especially if it involves liver paste 😂
Poplet Kraken and Poplet Kay welcomed 14 squeaky beans into the world yesterday.
Mum and babies are doing well so far, although 14 is quite a large litter, so I will be keeping a close eye on everyone.
Kraken is about ready to pop and maybe regretting her night with the handsome Kay.
If you're thinking about getting some pet rats, it's definitely worth getting yourself a copy of this book.
Zoe has had a big influence on my breeding, through giving me my foundation rats but also through her support and friendship. My copy arrived yesterday and she's managed to condense a huge amount of information into this book and it's been influenced by lots of experienced rat breeders, rescuers and owners. If you are interested in getting rats or even if you've already started it's well worth a read.
🐀 📖 BOOK GIVEAWAY 📖🐀
Fancy a free copy of my book? I know things are tight for many people this year and I wish I could have priced by book cheaper (between the printing costs and the HUGE cut Amazon takes I had to price it where I did to make it worth the years I spent on it!) but I hope that someone out there can benefit from a free copy. Feel free to enter for yourself or to enter with the intention of gifting it to someone who needs a copy!
To enter you need to comment on this post with what you think is the best name for a rat. It can be one you’ve had in the past or what you plan to call your rat in the future, or just a name that is absolutely amazing. One entry only please 😁 If you win you’ll need to message me with your address to receive the book.
Likes and shares really appreciated ❤️
I’ll pick my favourite and announce the winner on Sunday!
Open to UK addresses only. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook.
A little update, I am attempting matings. However my Does are not feeling the most cooperative. We will get there I'm sure.
I'll post updates as things progress. Plus a cute picture, of hopefully soon to be Grandma Glen.
Unfortunately run into a hiccup in the rat room so the girls are currently in my living room. Although they're definitely enjoying the oven glove in their cage.
The girls love to watch intensely as I sweep up their mess 😂
Why is it always your oldest rat that decides they must get as high as possible?
Old man Merlin, regretting his decision (I did help him down).
Kraken on free roam being cutie, and although I didn't catch it on video later very opinionated on where my legs were allowed to be 😂
Rats first free roam in the new redone rat room.
I'm off on holiday, so won't be around for a few weeks to answer messages. I'll answer once I'm back and hopefully update you with some lovely photos of my redone rat room.

Although sadly these gorgeous lads aren't part of my breeding plans (originally from Kinra Rats). They are keeping me thoroughly entertained whilst their visiting ☺️ such sweet boys.
I've had flu this week, so I thought I'd have a relaxing cuddle with the babies. More like chaos especially when they trigger the zoom 😂 I've taken the sound off so you can't hear my snuffly breathing.
Babies are growing well, they enjoyed the pea fishing. Well some of them did, they had varied approaches from just licking water off the bowl to actually getting the peas 😂
This is Carter from my last litter, she's a cutie, and Maple (soon to be Mum 🤞makes a brief appearance) 😁
