Laura Kraut & the 14 yr old gelding Baloutinue at that infamous last fence in the individual show jumping at the Paris Olympics yesterday. The fence was 1.62m high and 1.35m wide and caught out so many of the 30 qualified combinations.

Laura age 58 is a three-time Olympic medallist. She was part of the Gold Medal winning team at the Beijing Olympics in 2008. At the last two Olympic Games Laura set the record for oldest female athlete to win a medal for the USA and in doing so took Team Silver medal. US Equestrian British Equestrian

My very best memories in a reasonably long career is when my students would turn down the option to have a groom because they wanted to have a hands on experience with their horse.... they like being there at 5:00 in the morning assessing the character helping them work into a mutual personality and to this day I find it captivating... thank you for all those of you who wrote that Journey along with me.

Bay Leaf Equestrian summer camp is being hosted at The Stables at LeBocage this summer!

Fun for kids 6-12. Children will participate in grooming, caretaking, learning of horses + crafting!

Children will ride daily and present a horse show on the final day for parents. Children will also receive a free lesson to use after camp.

Please pack lunches! Refrigerator available.
