Some updated photos of my girls. TemplePantera Zelda of Berapantera is the pillow to her daughter Selene. Zelda's daughter Phoebe is curled up on the back of the couch. Bowens Mipha of Berapantera is up and about but I got a good pic of her Highlander traits!

My heart is broken for Selene. Alarm went off to do feeding and I can hear her crying. Piper passed and now she has no babies. She was such a good mama but the issues this week caused her to not produce milk and I caught it too late.
Now she has to be in the popup all alone while she heals from the C-section.

Lost baby boy #1 due to length of time I was away and being stupid and not bringing the babies. He got too cold and went too long without food.

Selene did well with C-section but baby #3 did not make it.

Today is day 68 and still no kittens. All 3 babies are strong and moving and Selene is doing good. She has had light contractions since Wednesday night but not for long periods of time or consistent. Her water hasn't broke yet but she has lost the mucus plug. Fingers crossed today is the day!

What a great turnout for the Highlanders at the TICA annual in Chicago. Bouwens Mipha won 4of 14 rings despite being a miss crabby pants (she did sit out 3 rings).

Not certain but here is what we speculate happened with Ganon and Morpheus a week ago resulting in Ganon dying.

Much research and talking with the vet we have ruled out dry FIP and Toxoplasmosis as possibilities due to Morpheus's recovery in a short time without prescription meds other than 1 bottle of clavamox. Toxic poisoning is possible but also unlikely due to quick recovery.

Through research I found that a head trauma can also cause seizures, blindness, loss of body/muscle control, spasms, and death.

My boys are in a bedroom with the closet doors removed because the continuously would knock the doors off the track. They have also figured out a way to get onto the shelves above the clothes bar and knock everything off of them. I believe both Ganon and Morpheus were on one of these shelves and fell. Morpheus possibly landed on Ganon crushing him and also hit his head hard enough to cause trauma. Ganon weighed 8-9 pounds and Morpheus is approx 14 pounds. I have oak wood floors and they were found near the closet, Ganon actually within the framing of the doorway.

Ganon was buried last week Saturday and I have been struggling all week with the thoughts that I did something wrong. I am doing a bit better with the realization that this was most likely a tragic accident.

Morpheus has made a 95% recovery but is still in a kennel until he is fully back to his old self.

Laid my beautiful baby boy to rest today. Sweetexotic Ganon of Berapantera you were a wonderful highlander and your life was way too short. I love you very much and you will be missed greatly. You were my first show cat and I will always treasure the memories we made together.
