About Us
In 2014, I drove across the country to Jackson, Mississippi with my truck and a 24ft trailer in hopes of starting a new life with an investment property that an investor promised to sell me with a low downpayment, through owner financing. I reached Jackson in less than 2 days and to my dismay, the investor I was dealing with disappeared into thin air. I was in a new city where I didn’t know anyone and I was homeless! My funds were depleting quickly, so every week I had to keep switching to lower class motels. Though struggling, I made good connections and found an amazing group and a seller whose property was going through probate, so it would take time before I could move in. The seller I was buying the property from was kind enough to let me stay at his vacation home for a week, where sadly, I fell and broke my tailbone. The following week, I was at the lowest kind of motel in the area with a broken tailbone. In order to keep my sanity, I rescued a dog, Mr. B and he’s been the best fur baby ever! I may have saved him from living in the streets, but in reality, it was him who saved me. Finally, right before New Year, we were able to move in to our own house and first investment property.
After 4yrs of hard work, I now own multiple rental properties around Mississippi, there are now 5 lovely fur babies under my care (including Mr. B, of course), and now we want to give back to the community. I decided to save more lives.
Mr. B and Diva’s Loveshack will provide shelter to neglected and unwanted little dogs. We will make sure that they are fed, cared for, loved and possibly find their forever home. Help us spread the word and get these wonderful creatures the home that they deserve.
