:The Last Call

In a bleak city where time passed slowly and the skies were always gray, Adrian, a young man in his mid-twenties, struggled with severe depression. His life had lost its color years ago, leaving him confined to a small, dim apartment where he rarely left his bed.

One rainy afternoon, Adrian sat by his closed window, holding a cold cup of coffee he didn’t bother to heat. His eyes were lost in the raindrops streaking down the glass when he noticed something moving on the window ledge.

It was a small kitten, drenched and trembling from the cold. Its gaze was fixed on him, as if pleading for help. For a moment, Adrian hesitated, then slowly opened the window. The kitten jumped in without hesitation, as though it knew this place was its refuge.

Adrian gently dried her fur with an old towel. Her eyes shimmered with a mix of gratitude and fear, stirring in him a strange sense of responsibility he hadn’t felt in years.

He decided to call her Luna. From that day on, the tiny kitten became a part of his life. She moved around the apartment curiously, watching him closely whenever he sat on the couch or tried to sleep. At first, her presence annoyed him, but over time, he grew used to it.

Every morning, Luna would climb onto his bed and softly place her paw on his face, as if urging him to get up and face the day. Gradually, Adrian started waking up earlier to feed her, then to drink his coffee beside her, and eventually to take her for walks outside and buy her toys and treats.

Luna seemed to understand what Adrian was going through. When he sat in silence for hours, she would leap onto his lap and purr. When he stared into nothingness, she would bring her favorite toy and place it in front of him, as if to say, “Let’s play.”

Over time, his life began to change. He started reconnecting with old friends, taking walks in the nearby park, and rediscovering his passion for painting. But Adrian didn’t realize that Luna wasn’t just an ordinary cat.

One night, Adrian woke up to the sound of loud, persistent meowing. He looked around to find Luna standing at the door, scratching it and making strange noises. He opened the door, curious, and followed her. She led him to the living room, where he discovered that the fireplace he had left burning had started to emit thick smoke.

He quickly extinguished the fire and opened the windows. Sitting on the floor, gasping for air, Adrian felt a wave of gratitude wash over him. Luna climbed onto his lap, licking his hand as if to reassure him. In that moment, he realized that her presence in his life was no coincidence—that she wasn’t just saving him from the fire but also from the darkness consuming him from within.

As the days passed, Adrian began telling his story to everyone. “She came to save me,” he would say with a smile, looking at Luna, who had become a symbol of his new life.

In the end, Luna wasn’t just a cat. She was a last call from life, reminding him that it wasn’t too late, that there was always a chance to start over.

I received an important phone call, so I went to answer it... and left my sandwich on the table... then my cat 😁

I see no flaws in this logic 😂

Today Judge Bacal found San Diego Humane Society in violation of CA penal code 597.s, (willful abandonment of animals), for their dumping of friendly, socialized cats back into the streets. This is a huge court win for animals in California and will likely have implications nationwide. Kate Hurley at UC Davis Korey and Julie Levy U of Florida, who are paid by Maddie’s Fund, started this program and it has been supported by Best Friend and all the other large corrupt animal welfare organizations.

San Diego Humane Society was represented by one of the largest law firms in the world and had 6 lawyers working their case. Bryan Pease Law represented the Pet Assistance Foundation who filed the suit. Exactly one person showed up for the San Diego Humane Society, while a dozen showed up in support of Pet Assistance. Jennifer Grantham, VP of Communications and Philanthropy at SDHS was the sole supporter alone in the court room. She could not have left fast enough after the judge ruled SDHS was in violation. She is the one who helped Jessica Des Lauriers Sales try cover up what happened to the small animals. She was the one to try to “reassure” advocates that the 323 small pets were safe in AZ. She is as much a liar and con as Gary Weitzman, Jessica Des Lauriers Sales, and Brian Daughtery.

congratulations Pet Assistance and Bryan Pease on the win today!!
