Our Story

Growing up on a farm in the Mid-West I cared for goats, sheep, pigs, horse, chickens, rabbits, cats and dogs. Getting up early in the morning to care for all those animals before heading off to school was a chore however it made me who I am today. Someone who still cares for animals just on a smaller scale.

Every since I left the farm to start my own career I wanted to find some way to help sheltered animals. I was always sad as a child when I watched the news and they would always feature a pet for adoption. Why would they get an animal if they no longer wanted to be responsible for the pet was always my first thought.

While serving in the Navy for seven years working mostly in the IT field I decided to adopt my first dog knowing I would soon change my career to stay in the area. While living in the Northern Virginia area I have seen and heard stories why many pets end up in shelters. In the Metro area I have found that most that go through those shelter doors are because the owner no longer has time to care for the pet properly. To help reduce many of these pets from going through those shelter doors I started Ringo & Friends, a pet care service that assists you with your pet when your schedule with not allow.
