Hello pup-parents
I understand that recent news about the incident at the other dog daycare is concerning for many pet owners. It’s heartbreaking to hear about what happened to Rosie, and I can only imagine how devastating it is for the owners. Unfortunately, accidents can happen, but it’s crucial that businesses take full responsibility when they do.
I wanted to reassure you that at my daycare, I am fully committed to creating a safe, fun, and controlled environment for every dog. Dogs can get into disagreements quickly, which is why I’m always present, actively supervising, and ensuring that any tension is managed before it escalates. It’s essential that the dogs know I’m in charge.
For added safety, I never take in a dog without a trial half-day to assess behavior and compatibility. I also don’t accept dogs with any history of aggression. Additionally, I’m fully insured and can always provide proof upon request. With vet bills easily climbing into the thousands, I take every precaution to prevent incidents from happening in the first place.
I even have cameras throughout my home and outside to monitor the dogs constantly. I know it might sound a bit like “Big Brother,” but this level of vigilance gives me peace of mind and ensures your dogs are safe.
While I don’t know the owners of the other daycare personally, what happened does affect all of us in the industry who work hard to provide a happy and safe space for dogs. I’ll continue to do everything in my power to make sure your pups are well cared for and protected while they’re here.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
Best regards,
Netti
