Hello friends! These 2 donations to Pacific Pug Rescue and Ohio Pug Rescue represent the remainder of my April pouch sales. Since then, I took some time off. I honestly don’t know why. I’ve always enjoyed making the pug hats and scarfs, sewing all those face masks and pug pouches. Maybe it was burnout, i just don’t know. I did learn I still need to have a creative outlet and have been doing a bit more sewing. Perhaps it’s because I’m retired and can do and make things that bring me enjoyment. The need to help animal rescue groups is still important to me and I hope to move forward in this effort. Enjoy all the festivities of the holiday season. See you next year!

It’s National Volunteer Recognition Day! Many thanks to all the wonderful people who volunteer their time helping others, especially the terrific people at Ohio Pug Rescue and ! It’s also National Get To Know Your Customer Day. Leave a comment telling me a tidbit about yourself. I’ll start. Even though I help pug rescue groups through my crocheting and sewing efforts, I have never had a dog as a pet. I’ve had 3 cats during my adult life, however.

I’m back with 5 pouches. I feel like I’ve been gone forever. I read crafter postings telling their followers how easy and quick they are to make, not so for me. I’m conscientious about my finished items and this cold weather is not kind on my arthritis. I only have these 5 for now. They are $35, payable through PayPal. I’ve pretty much depleted my supply of pug fabric scraps from the making of pug face masks. I’m still working through the wait list and hope you like these 3 fabrics I had printed through . 2 designs are from our friend Lauren . The 3rd is from Claire . I smile when I see all those cute puggy faces🥰 I’ve been messaging persons on the wait list but I’m not confident I’m getting through to some of you. These have been some of my favorite ‘sides’. I hope you’re enjoying your pouches. I have several and they come in so handy. I use some of mine for sewing supplies, a safe place to store my rotary cutters, travel pouch for charger cords, sundry items when traveling and a place to keep my ID and phone when I go to the weekly beer/wine garden. I took some time out from my pouch making to sew up this pug . When I worked in banking, I was by far the messiest teller on the line. My trash never made it into the round can…same goes for my sewing. Hopefully, a quick glance to my right will enable all the threads generated from sewing these pouches to hit the thread catcher. These pouches are all sewn on my mom’s that she purchased in the mid 50’s. It’s the best workhorse. Thanks to for the cute pattern and answers to my questions.

I’ve been busy making pug pouches! Today I mailed off these 5. I enjoy the process of putting all the different fabrics together. No two will ever be the same! They take time to make and I appreciate your patience while I slowly work my way through the waiting list. I’ll have a few more to show you later this week. Stay cool!

It’s been so long since I posted, guess I forgot how to post multiple pictures 🤣 Here are the 4 pouches!

Remember all those face masks I made in 2020? A lot of scraps were generated, so I decided to do something with them. These 4 zipper pouches measure approximately 8 1/2”x 7 1/2”. They are lined with a colorful green fabric, have a boxed bottom and I’ve attached a cute paw zipper charm. I’m asking $35, of which $20 will be divided equally between Ohio Pug Rescue and . The patchwork is a fair amount of work and they are as cute on the reverse side, as they are in the large photo. Only these 4 are available and I can ship next week. If you’re interested, send me a DM. I’m not sure how many I will be making, but I’m open to starting a waiting list.🐾

Yesterday we spent the day at the garden. My previous post was of cherry blossom trees from this garden. (They have over 20 varieties) This is an assortment of flora, including pansy, snowballs, bonsai (the ones shown are about 50 years old each) and the last 2 pictures are of stunning crabapple trees. It’s a lovely facility.
