Mom here…Happy Birthday Miss Honey! Lulu sent you to me and I was overwhelmed, I never raised a puppy and my heart was freshly broken. I should have known that eight years later Lulu knew. She knew that this little girl was exactly what I needed. She mended my sorrow and forced me to move forward even when I didn’t want to.

When the Doctor estimated Miss Honey’s age I chose July 4th would be her birthday. To me it was her Independence Day. Now I feel bad because she HATES fireworks. So today we will be still and quite so she can relax. Two senior ladies enjoying each other’s company.

Thank you Lulu and thank you Miss Honey for giving me the honor of being your Mom. 💗💛💙

Mom here…Happy Birthday in Heaven I miss you more than I have words. Before you went home I got you your favorite treats which I will share with the wild birds. I’m going to sprinkle the seeds you left in my yard in hopes that mighty sunflowers will grow and look up to the sky as I do every night. I’m blessed for the thirty years we had but as anyone who loves another it was too soon. Lulu and Fuzzy Wuzzy I know you’re all together and that brings me peace. Hello dear friends, Miss Honey here...our Mom asked me to reach out to you all and thank you for the beautiful words for my brother Freddie. We are both missing him so much.

It is my turn to take care of our Mom. I will do my best to make Lulu, Fuzzy Wuzzy and Freddie proud. Our Mom is in good paws.

I have been told from Above that all of our loved ones send signs. So I want to tell you that it is true. All you need to do it is look up and they will appear. As I sit by the window waiting for the night sky I will be looking up to see those who have gone before us. Please look up with me so we can share their glorious light.

On this Love Your Pet Day Me and Fuzzy Wuzzy will be waiting at the Bridge for our birdie brother Freddie. I will adorn his wings with flecks of gold and he will finally be free to fly as high has his heart takes him. Freddie, Thank you for watching over our Mom all of these years. We will prepare the softest cloud, welcome Home brother.

Mom here...if you will indulge me I would like to share some of my story with Freddie. Freddie and I have spent THIRTY years together. He has and will be my longest continuous relationship in my life. More than any "family", friends or love interests he has been by me side everyday. I am heart broken. It seems appropriate that Freddie went home on Love Your Pet Day because I loved him with all of my heart.

I worked at a pet shop on weekends to save money for a companion to love. I met Freddie as a baby and I would help the shopkeeper feed him as he wasn't fully weened yet. He was always the messiest of the brood and he continued to be so. I watched as people came in to buy his brothers and sisters but Freddie remained. I had my eye on a beautiful white cockatiel and took him home. A man came in and asked where the white bird went and I told him I had adopted him. I felt bad for the man and decided that since I had only had the white bird for a short time I would bring him back for the man since he wanted him so badly. I was sad to give him up but it was meant to be. Little did I know the journey ahead.

I kept working weekends and watching Freddie be passed by with no one who wanted him. I finally made the best decision ever that I would be his Mom. He was quite the character from the beginning, always getting into trouble and being clumsy and awkward. He didn't want to talk and I never forced him. He did make sounds like brush your teeth, put on deodorant and the such. He would tap, tap, tap to get my attention. We would play a game, if he tapped five times I tapped back five times. He always chose the amount of taps and I always followed. The most he would say is "Pretty Bird" or make up a little song and I was more than happy with that.

He had been "down for the count" many times but he always bounced back. I called him my Miracle Bird. I knew this time was different. I don't want to share our last days together because they were very hard and these times will remain personal and between us. Just know that we snuggled and we put our hearts together so we could feel and hear our love beats.

As he got older when I uncovered him in the morning and when I would come home from work I was hoping to hear his little chirp and I always did, until his last day.

Freddie was my friend, my confidant and my teacher. He made me laugh with his silly antics and snarky sense of humor. He listened through my tears when life brought me sorrows and he gave me comfort. Freddie taught me many lessons, as I say he was my Crabby Curmudgeon. He let mw know that it's okay to be crabby and you don't have to be the Sun and warm everyone. If the day is tough be crabby but don't let that last too long.

How can I put into words how much Freddie meant to me, it's impossible but I had to get out some of my feelings about this special being. My life will be different and sad for a long time. However, I have been blessed with so many years of happiness and friendship. The bird that no one wanted turned out to be the bird I needed. Fly free Freddie as you should have been able to do on Earth. You were your own bird and I give you a low bow for being so. I will be listening for your taps. I will love you always and forever until we meet again. Fly my Pretty Bird, FLY...

Hello dear friends…today is the anniversary of the last day our Mom shared with Fuzzy Wuzzy on Earth. Tomorrow we would be reunited and begin our journey together. Fuzz went home close to Giving Tuesday, even though she was a little grumpy she had a kind heart. She still swats my tail but I know that means she loves me in her way.

So we asked our Mom to help others and she did. Maybe you too can reach out your hand. Please help a shelter, hug a friend or do whatever you can in the spirit of Giving Tuesday. Fuzz and me would be honored by your kindness.

Hello dear friends…July 4th is my Earthly sisters 7th Birthday. She is a good girl and watches over our Mom. Miss Honey is a tomdog full of life and love.

This picture was her first time hearing fireworks and she jumped in the tub out of fear.

We asked her what she wants for her birthday and Miss Honey only wants that all dogs be safe and not scared. This is a frightening time, please ask your Moms and Dads to hold you close.

Hello dear friends...we are preparing to welcome a very special angel, Mr Bojangles. Mr Bojangles was one of my first friends and I would be so excited when he would comment or his Mom would send a nice message to me and my Mom. When I was at the end of my life on Earth my Mom kept my health notes on a Mr. Bojangles calendar which still hangs in the kitchen. When I went home my Mom told Mr. Bojangles Mom about the calendar and how the month of August showed her dear Mr. Bo standing in front of a sky full of stars. Mr. Bo's Mom said "now Lulu is one of those stars", so beautiful and kind.

Now Mr. Bo is also one of those stars and he will be shining brightly when you all look up into the sky. We have been fluffing up an enormous and cozy cloud so he can rest after his glorious journey home. Mr. Bo has so many friends coming to greet him and give him kisses once he is ready.

Hello Dear Friends...When I went home my dear Dr Ann was not there and she felt so bad. She made a large donation to the Seeing Eye dogs in my honor.
