👩⚕️👨⚕ Veterinary clinics: I'm swapping out our linktree or other link expander pages and making sure our website, request an appointment, request a refill and leave us a refill pages are linked up. This will be great for featuring special services and lead magnets as they occur too!
🤓 Fellow creators: this will be great for featuring your books, podcasts, booking links and downloads!
I love first vet visit boards—- and so do clients! But make sure you’re not celebrating only those baby pets…and make sure your social icons are present so the clients know where to connect with your practice!

Shout out to all the vet techs out there who keep everything running, in the clinic and out. We're honored to have two technicians on our team-- Amy and Emily help our veterinary clients every day! Their clinical backgrounds and experience have been essential for us to support veterinary peeps and to create content that helps us all continue better connect with our clients and pets.
Before joining Team TheSocialDVM, did you know....
🩺Amy, RVT spent 10+ years in clinical practice (even a few with Dr. DeWilde!) and has a special interest in behavior. She's also a nerd for neurology and has experience in mixed animal practice too! She is Fear Free Certified, a rockstar client communicator, and a whiz on social. Having spent several years managing social media AND those damn controlled drug logs in addition to her patient care duties at a busy practice in Missouri, she really can handle it all. This week alone she's managed social media, lead magnet, email marketing and CE course projects on topics in dentistry, veterinary genetics, senior care, preventative meds and more.

🩺Emily, CVT comes to us from the land of specialty medicine. She was the Team Lead for the oncology department at a large specialty hospital in Vermont before joining our team. She also is passionate about critical care and anesthesia--don't ask her where that vaccine should go, but if your patient needs chemotherapy for their raging lymphoma or anesthesia run for that penetrating chest wall injury that just walked through the door, she's your girl! These skills translate nicely into managing the million details that go into a big marketing project. You'll often find Emily managing our training programs and client webinars- the latest including Canva camp, parasitology, and mental health support for vets and techs.

No matter what the topic and the project, these two techs can rock
Instagram Tip
Save yourself time and hassle and link your Facebook and Instagram accounts. Even if you don't post the same content, linking helps you improve efficiency when it comes to managing comments, messages, content calendars and more.

It's finally done and here!! I always wanted to write a book as a kid...but could have never guessed this is what it would be about! That said, veterinary marketing is my passion and I am dedicated to helping other veterinary professionals with it. I would be honored if you'd check it out. Now available in hardcover, softcover and ebook (plus a sweet companion website full of resources that took me a year to build!) on Amazon.

Facebook Tips (1)
Don't get overwhelmed by alllllll the tabs within insights. Ideally, if you know your practice's objective - the why you're doing social media (be it engagement, page likes, comments, etc) - focus on one or key metrics.
Not sure where to start? Check out the posts tab to get a feel for how recent posts stack up - what worked and what didn't - plus an average of what times your page followers are online.

Pro tip: If phones are ringing off the hook at your practice, it's time to change your call to action button to literally anything other than "Call Now". Redirect them with a Book Now, Use App or Send Email button.
Facebook Tips
Enable the Top Fans for your page so you can easily identify your biggest supporters.
I love doing this, and we've started dropping a thank you card in the mail for those who have been Top Fans for more than a month or so. These are the people that are helping your engagement and supporting your business! Celebrate them! 💎
