Come on! Can Chocolate be any cuter 😍🐾❤️

She totally is one of the family already! She follows us everywhere (still needs to learn stairs), gives whoever comes home a nice welcome, and is starting to enjoy being outside! This former puppy mill girl is just blooming and enjoying life!

This is how Chocolate fell asleep last night 😍 She was a little angel all night. I brought her outside to do her business and she did so quickly even though it snowed 🎉❄️ 😫She gobbled up her breakfast, followed my little dog around for a bit and now she’s back on my lap for some snuggling. What a girl ❤️🐾

Chocolate loves her treats 😀 Why when I listen to humans eat I want to scratch my ears off but I can’t get enough of listening to dogs chew? 😀

Cute little Chocolate has had a great day. She had a bath and spent much of the afternoon snuggled on our laps.

Welcome our new foster Chocolate!! She is a little 10lb Shih Tzu 7 year old sweetheart ❤️

Great introduction to both of our dogs. She has been doing her business quickly outside, though she’s had a few accidents inside as she is a former puppy mill dog-way more social than expected. She’s very curious, but will stand still for a second or two when she’s scared, but then will check things out. Our lovely Fluffy dog volunteer who brought her to us wanted to keep her too-she’s just that darn cute and sweet!

More to come on this love bug ❤️🐾❤️ I can’t imagine her being with us long.

Tabitha, 10lbs 3 year old cutie, is an owner abandoned Alabama sweetheart who is a great companion! She is an equal opportunity lap lover who loves toys, treats and walks! She doesn’t need a crate with us, lives peacefully with our dogs (though not playful with them), and loves to sleep under the covers of with you. She’s a wonderful little girl who will steal your heart quickly.

Tabitha is a great, no fuss companion dog who loves to be with her people. She loves car rides and snuggling. She’s great with our dogs. She be great as an only dog or as a dog companion to another dog but not a dog playmate as she’s not really into playing.

Tabitha is just a great little (and easy) girl to have around! She loves to nap on our laps, sleeps under the covers at night, no accidents except that first day. She likes to graze on her food throughout the day. She loves to chase toys and does great with our dogs, walks great on a leash, goes potty quickly once outside. Knows how to sit and loves to be carried around 😂❤️🐾

Welcome Tabitha in the house! She is a three-year-old 10 pound mix of Chihuahua and Yorker cuteness! We just got her last night and she has been doing great adjusting into the new environment. She was abandoned by her owner with two other dogs in Alabama-she is going to be needing a sweater as the weather is turning cold ❤️So far she has been great with our dogs, but not really interested in them and just really interested in people. She loves being on our laps taking turns on whoever’s lap is open. She loves exploring the house and loves treats. She was doing zoomies last night after her bath❤️She knows how to sit and walks great on a leash. She slept soundly in our bed with no issues we had to wake her up she was so tired. A real sweetie and more to come.

Crumpet is growing leaps and bounds this week! She is a great little car rider, learning to perfect her sit, comes to us for cuddles and love! Our house is very active with multiple teens revolving in and out and she doesn’t bark like ALL of my dogs do instead she gets near them and waits for some pets. She hasn’t destroyed anything (or tried) just stays to toys and bones. She’s a happy girl in morning and loves playing but after that settles in for a nap.

We love this cutie pie and know she will make a great companion dog.

Our extra sweet and adorable Crumpet continues to bring us so much joy.

One of us is often working from home and she is a perfect little companion! I’ll hear her playing with a squeaky toy or she will be settled right next to me for a nap. We take her out every couple of hours which is helping with house training. She adapts so well to life with 3 other dogs (of all sizes 11lb, 45lb and 100lb).

She gives great welcomes now even giving a few barks of excitement(which I hope to capture on video today!). She eats 2x a day some fry dog food and prances around while I join her when she’s eating.

We had a fantastic day. She played with toys and napped while I studied all day. She’s doing great with house training now that it’s not snowing 🥶and she did her biz quickly today on a leash several times 🎉🎉

All 5 human family members and 3 dog family members were all in the kitchen after school and so was she!!! She wanted to be in the mix! 😍🥰🐾❤️

She hasn’t made a sound yet so we will watch and listen. She sleeps by me in bed soundly without a budge.

Oh do I love watching this sweet cutie Crumpet learn to enjoy life!

Here she is picking out toys from the box 🥰 and fetching a toy and coming for pets and wanting more pets! It’s very normal for mill dogs to not look at you but you can see she’s learning hands can be trusted.

Crumpet is 5-7 years old (seems accurate-she’s playful on/off through the day but likes to take some good naps), 13lbs Shih Tzu breeder release.

She loves to be near us! Super curious, she’s not panting today or yesterday, nice signs of settling in.

We have 3 dogs here, 11lb, 45lb, and 100lb. She does her own thing, not interested in playing though none of the dogs have tried to play. They all are coexisting nicely.

Sweet girl Crumpet, 5-7 years old/13lbs, is continuing to show her s***k and personality.

She spent most of yesterday playing with toys, following us around (first floor-no stairs skills yet), and when she rested she found a spot 2 feet away from me by my feet while I studied. She would come up to me often to sniff me and then get some pets and go back to toy playing.

She is social and friendly for a breeder dog, but her deprivation of experience leads everything to be new and with work. She does circles often through day which is typical for breeders. She is hyper vigilant and Noises like sneezes or a door startle her but she seems to startle less already.

So today is ”learn leashes are ok and I can move if one’s on me” day. The past few days she just stood still and would have all day and I wanted her to first learn to trust our environment and then learn trust the leash. So that’s today’s agenda.

Here she is this morning when I came to check on her when she was eating (I feed my dogs in separate areas) and look at her happiness! Play bow and everything 🎉❤️🐾

Crumpet, 5-7 year old breeder release Shih Tzu, is having a grand time with her toys, watching us as we go about our day and learning about the world. We are letting her observe and get comfortable. She tends to want to be where we are and follows us around a lot. She slept by us without a movement last night from 10-7am. She doesn’t mind being held. Outside is still a very foreign concept and the extra cold and snow is a double whammy for this poor girl so that’s rough.

Just caught her sleeping next to the dog bed, hopefully soon she will realize the comfort of beds ❤️🐾

Welcome Crumpet! She is a 5-7 year old Shih tzu, 13lbs, who is melting hearts left and right. She just arrived today and so far is doing a great job being curious, getting pets and playing with toys. She is a breeder release so we will be trying to work on some dog life skills like being on a leash, stairs, and house training. She’s been friendly to everyone here, loves treats and toys.

Can’t wait to see her bloom.
