Jun 16, 2022 - We all love giving our horses some treats and seeing them eat happily. But can you feed a horse everything? Of course, no. Horses have a rather complicated digestion system which has bacteria and microbial of its own. Other than usual pasture grass, hay, and some grains, you can surel...

Same horse - MONTHS apart!

This photo was sent in by Anouk Wiertz a long time ago - it never ceases to amaze me that this is a before and after picture of the same horse. It is taken months apart, it is meant to show what is one person's reality in her transition to bitless. It's to illustrate Tradition on the left and compassion and common sense on the right! I just had to share it again - this is so important for all horsemen/women to see. Some don't even realize their horse is not comfortable, this is pretty hard to miss, eh?

Some tips for summer for pets

06/07/2022

It’s been a super busy week and I’m a little behind on Amir’s posts .... but guess what??

We have a new prosthetic leg with a gel liner AND a blade runner like Paralympic runners use!

Amir is the first horse in the world to have a blade runner!

He is already moving better - the shock absorption and break over is great and it’s so much lighter and more comfortable than his original prosthesis.

Here we are with our friend and vet Dr Ted Vlahos.

A big thank you to Chris at Comfort Prosthetics as well for helping us with this new leg and answering my long list of questions to find the best options for Amir.
❤️❤️❤️❤️
