Hi We have a young doe (approx 3ths) who started scouring Christmas Day, we at first thought just tummy getting used to grazing as she was still feeding from mum. On boxing day checked her out again and gave her the appropriate does of drench in case it was worms and antibiotic in case it was infection(,she was slighty anaemic) but as we had to.leave her over night it was the best we could do.
When we came back she had stopped scouring but was weak. But eating and body functions seemed fine. But she has got weaker and weaker. Gave her second antibiotic today as well as 250mls of vitrate every 3 to 4 hrs. We are also putting vetch out for her , she is eating like she's really hungry and drinking well too. But she still can't stand. She is weeing and pooing too.
Just wondering if there is anything else we should do or if any one knows what might be causing her not to stand she is sitting up and looking around eyes are bright and no longer anaemic. She has feed on one side and vitrate in a bowl the other that she can reach and sees to.be enjoying both. Any advice would be appreciated,
