Now with Winter behind us and in the mids of Spring, nicer weather and longer days have you wondered ‘Where can I take my Horse’?

Somewhere for the day or maybe a couple of days or weekend camp.

You want a slow relaxing start or just want to get stuck into training. No time frame or waiting in line, your time is your time, your training is your training.

At OTC Horse Park WA you make your own program, we offer you the facility. With an extensive Obstacle Course covering all the basic movements for your horse, a Trail with various terrains which allows you to relax or make your horse work, your choice. Recently added a ‘Working Circuit’ being perfect to concentrate on those gaits, walk, trot and canter. Maybe even work up a sweat, the horse that is….LOL.

After, just sit back and enjoy a cuppa or chill out with your friends. Camp and make the most of it, you will find the real benefits, connection with your horse and your confidence will grow.

OTC Horse Park WA is not just about work but a HOLIDAY! Get some friends together with their horses and you don’t have to think about it anymore.

A very Big CONGRATULATIONS to our Record Holder for 'Run the Gauntlet 2022'

Penny Knight and her amazing steed 'Drifter' 🐴 Time 00:57.81 on the 18th September, 2022.

Penny not only holds the Record for 2022 but broke the overall record to date beating Jess May on Lisa, Time 00:58.45 on the 16th February, 2020.

Sorry Jess, looks like you'll have to come back for the challenge to reclaim your Title. 😄

SPRING is fast approaching and OTC Horse Park WA has the pleasure of Lisa Croft from 'Equine Awareness' to start the season off with a 'Groundwork & Obstacle' Training Day.

Don't miss out, numbers are limited on Saturday BUT possibly could be extended to the Sunday depending on interest.

The Park will be OPEN on Sunday to brush up your skills and Camping is available for the weekend with Friday afternoon also being available to setup. Additional Fees do apply.

SHOW HANDS of INTEREST for a 'Get Together Day' at OTC on a week day, once a month for 'Adults only' (Excluding weekends as Park is reserved for Group & Club bookings)
Enjoy a relaxing and social day of just getting together over a cuppa and walking the trail with your horse in-hand/riding or brushing up your groundwork in the round yard.
Use this day to reconnect with your horse and friends OR make new friends.
Please comment if interested, day of preference and which week in the month best works for you.
Use of Obstacle Course will be excluded for this Day but open to normal bookings.

The Challenge is on again 'RUN THE GAUNTLET' 2022.
Brendon Scott initiated the challenge this year and on the 25/04/2022 Jane HOSSELL came in with a flying time of 58:83 seconds.
Sorry Brendon but don't give up 'try again' the year is not over.
Jess May still holds the 'Overall Record' time but as it is a yearly challenge 'anyone' can take home the Reward for 2022.
So remember 'HAVE A GO', gotta be in it to have a chance to WIN IT!!

A big 'Thank You' to the Blackwood Horse & Pony Club members for coming out and wearing the wet weather.
Great desensitisation for both Horse and Rider and I have to admit that is dedication! No pain, no gain....LOL.
It's ashame not everyone managed to ride the improved color coded All Terrain Trail but 'thanks' to Shannon, Sandy & Paulette who camped were my Lab Rats and trialed it yesterday giving it the 'thumbs up and stamp of approval'.
Take note of the calories burnt...they were put back on that evening 'Shannon's Special Chai Lattes' & chocolates.

TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT a Colour Coded 'All TerrainTrail Course' added to the Park. If u get lost 'what can I say'...LOL
It's been a busy week slogging away and plenty of ks under the boots and made possible with the help of Deb, (thank you so much) now it's FINISHED!
Enjoy a trail that meanders thru the trees, ups and downs, rocky passage and scenic views of the Blackwood River, with the occasional small log jumps and seasonal water crossing.
Just ride and relax or make your horse work...totally up to you. Go around as many times as you like.
Along with the Obstacle Course it's a full day of FUN with your horse.
Camping available to make the most of the weekend.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas yesterday even though it was a scorcher and now relaxing, eating left-overs and enjoying more time with family and friends, or with their Equine buddies.
OTC would like to wish everyone all the very best for 2022 and say 'Thank you' for your continuing support and look forward to seeing you throughout the course of the year.

ENAT (Every Now and Then) Day at OTC: Saturday 18th and 19th September 2021.
