Go Birds!!!! 🦅 Buttercup is a four-year-old Great Dane mix (her other parts are German Shepherd and Australian Cattle Dog). She was abandoned when she was a tiny pup with her five sisters in Leflore, Mississippi, then rescued and brought north by Hemlock Edge. Somehow, by incredible luck, we found her - or rather, she picked us. (Thankfully, all her sisters found wonderful homes, too). She is a magical creature who charms everyone she meets. And she loves Seger Dog Park! She usually goes there every other morning (though she would prefer to go every day) and loves playing with friends - old and new. But her true passion is chasing after tennis balls for as long as possible. She’s going for the world record. When she isn’t at Seger, she can be found roaming Rittenhouse Square or waiting for other dogs to come by her stoop to say hello. She is so kind and loving, but she is also full of opinions. She is especially discriminating when it comes to her meals, and has fully trained her parents to hand grate a selection of fine artisan cheeses over her food. Parmigiano Reggiano is the current favorite for her soft-scrambled morning eggs. But she has not let that go to her head. She is truly the best girl and an absolute treasure in our family. And she is thrilled and honored to be Seger’s Dog of the Week! Follow her !
