Back with anothaaaa DogOfTheWeek

Bean is a three year old husky pit mix, but he thinks he’s still a puppy. He has some of the longest legs at the dog park- and the longest tongue. He loves waking up early to go to Seger and play with his friends- and will bark at them nonstop until they chase him. He loves playing, cuddling, chaos, his dad, attention, cheese, being lint rolled, napping in goofy positions, and watching squirrels. He hates baths, listening, skateboards, being alone, balloons, plastic bags, and not having undivided attention. Bean is full of love and energy- he always greets his parents and his dog park friends with lots of excitement!

You may recognize Riley as the tennis ball fiend at the dog park, but anywhere else, Riley is the gentlest and most considerate boy. Likes: his girlfriend Bean, chewing on mom’s jeans, the beach, Doggie Style pet stores. Dislikes: his scary cat sister Rosie, wearing his rain jacket, and specific trash cans.

Thanks to everyone that throws the ball for Riley from time to time!

Anothaaa Dog of The Week
Marni is a 2-ish-year-old hound x beagle mix. She is a massive squirrel enthusiast 🐿️, master of the side-eye 😒, and is absolutely honored to be . Marni loves to spend her mornings at Seger Dog Park, welcoming her friends (human and canine alike) with kisses. Marni can be aloof at first but with a some patience, affection, and treats, she will become your new best friend.

Marni’s favorite things include:
⁃ Finding partially eaten chicken wings and pizza crusts on walks in Philly.
⁃ Squirrels and pigeons.
⁃ Spending time at her Grandparents’ house in Chester County.
⁃ Being chased.
⁃ Shopping sprees at (pine st., where she was adopted from);
⁃ AND rolling in decaying animal matter - the more putrid, the better.

Marni’s dislikes include:
⁃ Baths, rain, and generally being wet.
⁃ Motorcycles, bikes, skateboards, and scooters.
⁃ Loud noises.
⁃ And when Seger Dog Park is closed for maintenance ☹️.

Just a reminder that no toys except yellow tennis balls are allowed. A human was seriously injured on Friday as a result of aggression over a toy. For the sake of all dogs safety, if you see someone playing with anything other than a yellow tennis ball please ask them to put it away. The person from Friday is okay, but injuries were serious enough to call an ambulance. Let’s avoid this in the future by working together to enforce this rule! 🎾🎾

Last night the hose broke that supplies water to the dog park. So we had to turn the water off. Once we can repair the broken hose the water can be turned on again.

On Thursday we had two crews come in to do a deep cleaning. The first used power brushes to pull up dog hairs and general debris that falls from the trees. Followed by the second crew that physically removes waste, dirt, debris, and hair with a high-grade HEPA vacuum, uses a pet-friendly disinfectant wash to eliminate bacteria from surfaces, and deodorize the entire area with
our patented no-rinse foam product.

our newest dog of the week….
This is Finnegan, which means small fair-haired in Gaelic, who moved into the neighborhood the week of lockdown (so he’s 4). He’s a bubbly mini-sheepadoodle who loves any kind of water and sprinting after a ball or in an open field. He’s a lot of personality in a little body flashing side eyes or running games whenever he can 👀

Dog of the week!! Clementine is a 1 year old Mountain Cur/hound mix and is a complete goofy goober that has loved to play with her friends at Seger Dog Park since she was 3 months old. If you see her there, she will likely be doing her signature move of repetitively diving and rolling on her back with her goofy smile on. She also loves wrestling, playing keep away and tug of war, and zooming around the park like a goblin. Clementine is often unsure the first time she meets you, but once she recognizes you she’ll be your best friend and she will barely be able to control her excitement. Say hi to Clementine! 🍊

Newest Suki is a 1 year and 9 month rescue from South Korea 🇰🇷. She loves cuddles 🥰 and shopping 🛍️ with her mom. She’s more of a snuggler in the morning but super speedy 🏃 and playful in the evening. She’s the one making hilarious noises when she plays with other dogs.
