Spring Run ended the show season with a bang at the River Glen Horse Trials! We had a wonderful weekend of riding, friendship, and fall weather. Many thanks to River Glen for hosting another incredible weekend of eventing.

🎃👻🍬 Happiest of Halloweens from Spring Run Farm! A herd of My Little Ponies, a zebra, a vet, a sports team, a bride, and a couple of minions came for treats (and no tricks) and a few spins around a jump course during our annual costume contest last Saturday afternoon. Hagyard Midsouth Three Day Event & Team Challenge ✅✅

HUGE CONGRATS to the riders & horses who placed in the ribbons:

🌟 Taylor + Mr G placed 8th in Training
🌟 Kennedy + Merlin placed 6th in Novice
🌟 Katherine & Roy placed 4th in BN
🌟 Caroline + Sunshine placed 9th in BN

The rest of the riders learned a lot this weekend. The best part was - and always is - the laughter and fun shared with horses and friends!

🍁🍁 Great news! It looks like it will be a beautiful fall weekend for the upcoming Stephen Bradley Clinic. Even better news? We have the ride times! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. While we don’t have any more room for any additional riders, auditors are welcome for $15/day or $25/weekend. Parents, spouses, coaches, and pony club members are welcome to spectate free of charge! See you this weekend! 🍁🍁

🌀Hurricane Horse Trial: Jump Start Horse Trials on Sunday🌀

Another GREAT day for the Spring Run Team! HUGE Congrats to Madelyn for finishing on an excellent dressage score and landing in second place in Novice Rider division. Another BIG congratulations to new Spring Run rider Katherine and her horse, Roy, who landed in first place in the Beginner Novice Rider division.

Again, extremely thankful for the huge effort by Erin Murphy and Keeneland Pony Club to keep this show running safely and smoothly. We appreciate you!

The Spring Run riders are taking a few days to dry out and the horses have earned a few days of rest. Looking ahead to Stephen Bradley Clinic next weekend - are you signed up yet?

When the barometric pressure was low, spirits remained high thanks to Susan, great friendships, a healthy dose of humor, and “the lounge.” The moms of Spring Run have definately mastered the art of horse show tailgating.

🌀The Hurricane Horse Trial, Part 2: Jump Start Horse Trials Training Riders and Open Novice🌀

Like the Championship competitors, a lucky few Spring Run eventers also finished today after a long two days in the rain.

HUGE congrats to both Kyra and Taylor in the Open Training division. Kyra took a break from college life to compete and it paid off with a third place finish! Taylor went double clear on stadium and finished in fourth. Despite horrible conditions, Anne had a great dressage test in Open Novice and landed in 9th.

Unfortunately, the lower divisions had to spend another day in the rain and won’t finish until tomorrow afternoon.

🌀The Hurricane Horse Trial, Part 1: USEA Area 8 Championships.🌀

It was wet, it was cold, and it was FUN! Despite the cross-country phase being cancelled for the weekend, the Area 8 Championships ended with a bang! In a rare feat, THREE Spring Run riders brought home an Area 8 Young Rider Award!

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Claire (Training), Kate (Novice) and Josie (Beginner Novice) for being the best finishing Young Rider in their Championship divisions.

BIG CONGRATS to Claire for an exciting second and Abby eighth place finish in the Training division. A slippery launch in stadium cost a rail and Kate slid into 10th place in Novice. Josie had a solid confident finish at 4th in Beginner Novice.

Thank you to Shelley Ryan for all the work you do for Area 8 Young Riders and to Erin Murphy and Keeneland Pony Club for the amazing communication, making the tough calls, and for keeping everything together in the chaos of the storm!
