📣 Houston area foster spotlight: VELLA

Howdy, folks, VELLA here again! I'm still looking for my forever home. As you can see from my photos, I’m a beautiful fawn girl with white paws and white markings on my nose, chest and neck. They say I’m about 2 years old. I came in off the streets extremely underweight but now I’m healthy and I’ve even had my spay surgery. No more babies for me, thank goodness.
I’m chill most of the time but I am also playful and energetic, especially when I’d like someone to throw a ball for me. I even mostly bring it back! I’m learning “drop” and even when I don’t, I’m happy for you to take the ball and throw it for me again. This video is proof enough, don't you think?
There are no children or other dogs in my current foster home but I did spend a few weeks at a temporary foster where, with slow intros, I made friends with their other foster dog (a male Boxer) and two personal dogs, a male Boxer and a female golden retriever. I fell in love with the other foster dog and when he got adopted, I mourned for a couple of days. Another foster dog came into the family after that and I did not like him! So, my foster mom says to tell you that I am dog friendly with slow intros but also dog selective. Hey, people don’t like everyone they meet either, do they?
I am not dog reactive though. I rarely bark at dogs walking by and in the vet’s waiting room, a small dog barked right at me and I just looked away. I’ve been tested with cats a couple of times and just ignore them so they say I’m possibly cat friendly. I do love to chase squirrels.
I am crate trained, and get in quite willingly. I am house trained and can sleep through the night on a dog bed in my foster parents’ bedroom. When I wake up from a nap, I’ll stretch and head to the back door to let you know I need to go outside.

This cute and clever miss is still looking for her forever family. Vella is about two years old and an absolute delight. She was rescued as an emaciated stray but quickly adapted to home life, regular meals, learning tricks and snuggling on the couch with her foster family.

Bellini's puppies - Willet and Lola
Just a tiny update on Bellini's two beautiful surprises! She had a matched set, one boy named Willet, and one girl named Lola. Mama had a bit of a dip and went to the vet for a check up but she's doing good now and babies are both doing great! They are now about two and a half weeks old.

Hi, I'm Raphael! I’m super new to LSBR so they are still learning about me but my foster mom says to tell you that I am good with other dogs and super sweet! I walk well on a leash and I’m working hard on my potty training skills.
As you can see from my video, I am a beautiful brindle boy about 3 years old with a natural waggy tail. I'd love to wag it just for you!

I’ve got a case of the zoomies 🤪 Duchess here, again! I am a six year old gal who is believed to be a boxer/bulldog mix. Either way, I’m just a sweet new face 🤩 I’ve got some spring skin allergies but my foster has been giving me the most soothing baths and oil rubs ♥️ I am most relaxed when I’m alone, lounging on the couch or my bed 😌 I am still getting used to being around people and other animals but I am definitely making great progress! I enjoyed my little spring break recently! Did you? ♥️ Cranberry here again! I am doing incredibly well in my foster home! I am great with kids and I get along well with my boxer roommate. I love when my fosters call me “little girl” 🥰 I am potty trained and I love using the kennel. Sometimes I go to my kennel to chill and I love to collect toys from around the house. I especially love playing catch! My foster family says I was a little shy I at first but that I am comfortable, loving and always up for snuggling with everyone.
