Seniors in shelters just break our heart 💔

Update - ADOPTED!!!!!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳

Clifford is currently at the Stark County dog warden in Canton, Ohio. Though we have posted him in hopes to find a foster, so far no takers. So, we are sharing him here in hopes he might be adopted directly by a big hearted cattle dog lover!

Clifford is definitely a senior - the shelter has him completely vetted, including neuter, negative heartworm test, dental where he lost almost all of his teeth 🥲, and bloodwork. His liver values came back a little high, so they also started him on a liver supplement. His dog test showed positive interest in other dogs with no aggression.

If you can provide a loving home and proper care for Clifford for the remainder of his life, please contact the shelter directly for info on adopting!

Queens needs a foster

UPDATE: Callie is adopted!🎉♥️
________
We received a very sad call for help out of Queens. Neighbors have joined together to help a dog who has been living outside for six years. Imagine being confined to the same backyard for six years, never being walked, never knowing the comforts of a home. Looking at the world go by day, after day from the same gate? Well, that was Callie’s life for over six years. They made an outdoor dog house for her, but the owner would never allow her inside the home. Now the “owners” have sold the house, and Callie’s fate hangs in limbo. We went to meet Callie, and she is starving for love. She was very sweet with us, and also did wonderful with the dog we brought along to test her with. She wanted to go with us when we were leaving, and it broke our hearts.

Callie is around 7 years old, and she is in need of some TLC. She is overweight due to lack of exercise. She was so happy when we walked her to the nearby park to meet our tester dog. This girl is low- energy, and doesn’t pull on leash. She would be a great companion for an older couple or person. We only have a few weeks to find a foster or an adopter for this sweet girl. After the life of hell she has lived, she deserves to be loved and to have a second chance. She is located in Queens NY
Go to www.nycscr.org to apply for Callie.
