Business or Lifestyle?

Our business started with one experimental jar of Jalapeno-Strawberry Jam and a crochet hobby.

My wife became disabled and unable to work, leaving a lot of time for her to spend on her crochet hobby. Shortly after, I too became disabled and started undergoing multiple surgeries in an attempt to repair the damage caused by all the years of hard labor. With no retirement savings and no regular income to rely on, we decided to try our hand at running our own business.

We started with one jam flavor, Jalapeno-Strawberry, and a handful of crocheted goods that my wife had created. We started setting up a table at the Farmer’s market at the Mission Marquee. Each time we set up our little table, we got requests for new flavors and new crafts. Each week we fulfilled these requests and our business started to bloom.

We now have 18 flavors of jams, 2 flavors of bread and butter pickles, chow-chow, roasted pecans, and a wide variety of crocheted goods. You can find us at almost any farmer’s market around town and other events. If you are attending an event and happen to see our table, take a moment to stop on by for a free sample!
