Spain now recognises animals as sentient family members and requires courts to protect their wellbeing.

This progress is a reminder that all animals have the capacity to feel. Treating all animals with respect and protection ought to be the natural outcome of that understanding.

It’s unsettling.
The real issue is that reporting this kind of news is seen as completely normal.
No one stops to consider that behind this so-called “sustainable recycling” there are living, feeling beings whose lives and suffering are at stake.
Until humanity wakes up and recognises that all lives deserve protection and hold equal value, there won’t be any meaningful ground for further debate.

If meat made people healthy, this wouldn’t be true.

Okinawa is a documented Blue Zone with exceptional longevity.
Their traditional diet is almost entirely plant based, around 90 to 95 percent, and meat contributes only 1 to 2 percent of calories.
We are pointing this out because the idea that meat boosts health is not backed by scientific evidence.

This beautiful bird becomes just a handful of flesh.

The European Turtle Dove is officially classified as Vulnerable, yet it is still shot in Malta and cooked as “game meat.”
A declining species… reduced to a few mouthfuls.

A life for a few bites .. is it really worth it?

Malta Meat Free Week: A Step Toward a Kinder Future💚

The Malta Meat Free Week has just ended, and once again, participation has grown impressively. More people across Malta and Gozo are discovering that living without meat is not only possible but deeply rewarding.

Created by Veggy Malta, the initiative encourages people to explore plant-based alternatives while reflecting on the impact of their choices on animals, the planet, and personal wellbeing.
This year, social media was full of people sharing recipes, colorful dishes, and tips, turning the week into a true community experience.

The week also reminds us that this lifestyle doesn’t have to stop after seven days. Eating without meat is easier than it seems, the alternatives are many, delicious, and accessible, and every meal without meat or animal products directly spares the lives of animals and reduces their suffering. We strongly encourage everyone who participated not to stop at one week: continue this journey, expand your choices with ethical awareness, and consider the impact of all your actions. Every conscious decision to avoid animal products contributes to a kinder, more compassionate world for animals and a healthier planet for all. 🌱

Every soul deserves to be seen, to be safe, and to live free from suffering.
