In Italy, more and more hunters are dying while hunting.
The latest case? A man shot a deer, then fell off a cliff trying to “retrieve his prey.”

When you choose to walk into the woods to take lives, you shouldn’t be surprised when nature strikes back.
Call it fate, poetic justice, or simply karma the outcome is the same.

Those who sow death, meet death. 🦌

Instead of evolving, we’re going back to the Stone Age.

Hunters and trappers are among the most selfish people that exist. They rob the Maltese people of the simple joy of hearing birds sing and watching them fly freely in our skies. There is no other country in Europe as deprived of wildlife as Malta, yet the government continues to allow these cowboys to massacre the few birds we have.

The government should protect their right to fly, so our children can look up and smile at a living sky.

Thanks to everyone who raised their voice, emailed, shared, and stood up for animals, the Animal Welfare Directorate has revoked the permits for Circus Orfei at Monte Kristo Estate.

Your action made a difference. This victory belongs to all of us who refused to stay silent.

A clear reminder: anyone who still chooses to attend or support that circus is supporting an illegal activity. If you care about your community and the law, please do not attend.

If you see animals being exploited or any illegal activity connected to this case, please report it to the relevant authorities and share any evidence with us on [email protected] so we can follow it up.

This decision goes directly against Malta’s 2014 ban on the use of animals in circuses — a law that reflected our nation’s commitment to compassion, progress, and respect for animals. Allowing this circus to proceed undermines years of public advocacy and damages the credibility of the Animal Welfare Directorate itself.

Monte Kristo Estate is already known for operating an illegal zoo. It is unacceptable that, despite this, a permit was issued for a circus involving animals on the same site.

🚨 The Animals in Circuses Return

After 11 years since Malta banned the use of animals in circuses, the Animal Welfare Directorate has authorised a circus featuring animals, currently being held at Monte Kristo Estate.

An estate which already houses an illegal zoo,with impunity.

And yet, permission was granted.
It seems that laws are not for everyone.

The same Directorate tasked with protecting animals now stands behind circuses that exploit them for amusement, treating living beings as props for human entertainment.

Well done once again Malta !

We’re grateful that justice was served for the murdered cats, but what about the animals who suffer and die legally every day?
Their pain isn’t worth less just because the law allows it.

We’re deeply shocked by the Times of Malta poll showing that most people support hunting and trapping as a “constitutional protected hobbie.”
It’s heartbreaking to realise this is the society we live in, but also a wake-up call.

We have nothing less than the government we deserve, because we can’t expect better laws if we’re not better people.
REAL CHANGE STARTS WITHIN EACH OF US.

We must choose to live ethically, to demand a world where ANIMALS AND THE ECOSISTEM ARE RESPECTED as much as human interests.

We are PART OF NATURE, NOT ABOVE IT. Our ego and greed can no longer dictate how we live.

We need to make CONSCIOUS CHOICES for the planet we live in and all who inhabit it, for life itself.

We must demand laws that PROTECT THE MOST VULNERABLE, because one day, WE could be the vulnerable ones.

This poll shows how far society still is from COMPASSION, ETHICS, AND COMMON SENSE.
