Dog behavior 101:
I often see people jump in the middle of play to "avoid a fight" soooo many people don't understand that dogs communicate & have their own rules!
However if at the dog park, yours is the one breaking the rules- especially rule #4 then they need training & more socialization to learn these rules.
A lot of times when a puppy & older dog are playing, the older dog will seemingly suddenly "snap" at the puppy & owners will often chastise the older dog- we shouldn't do this, unless it escalates too aggressively, because it is the older dog teaching the puppy the "rules of engagement"!
