I have attached a copy of a photo of the little kitten you sold me last week and her “big brother” Bertie. Bertie is a cat that came from your farm in June 2016. His mother was Forsythia. He is a very sweet and gentle cat and he absolutely loves the kitten. One of the first things he did when I let them be together was give her the tiny little fluffy ball that he has treasured since we picked him up at your farm. Marilyn put this fluffy ball in the cat carrier for him. The other day he carried it over to the new kitten and placed it in front of her. It made me cry. She has been playing with it while he watches. Very nice.

The kitten is healthy and full of life. She is fitting right in and is still a constant purr machine.

Thank you so much!

Sophie

Sophie, my new Ragdoll kitten is trusting me more each day, still hides on me sometime, but I know her hiding spots. She uses litter box.
She has not eaten yet. She drank a little 2% milk diluted with warm water this morning.
She is smart, knows the word ‘no”. She is gradually warming up to her tree and loves the section where she pops her head up thru the hole.
She is such good company for me.
I hope all is well with you. Thank you for Sophie.

Adore my new kitten

Dear Alan,
I am thrilled with the lovely kitten I got from you. My older cat has accepted him, and they play a lot. If you would like my 5 star review, please send a link. Thank you for bringing these lovely cats into the world.

Best,
Elizabeth

Hi Marilyn,

I can't believe Marlowe getting close to a year old! Snows litter May 2022.
Her favorite things are digging holes, climbing ice hills, big sticks and going ice fishing. She hates carrots, being told no and brushing her teeth.
She's a very lanky 72 pounds, confident, loving, and very sassy (she learned how to roll her eyes...).
She's beautiful and mischievous, she sure knows how to poke our buttons, and we absolutely adore her. Thank you again!

ello Marilyn and Family,

The weather here in Sequim just doesn’t let up. Gray, cold, rainy, snowy…..and Roscoe loves it all. In out, in out, and our California beach towels are lined up waiting for him. He enjoys the rubdown and the attention. In for a few, and then wants out again. At least we are getting exercise getting up often to let him have his way.

He and the parrot Jingles are getting along just fine. She is now age 25 and getting more and more brave. If she is out of cage, she will go at him and he backs up.
I keep telling both, “Do not hurt the Bird, Do not hurt the Dog”. So far so good, I do not leave them unattended. Jim gets so nervous. Neither of them know the damage they can cause to the other. Everyone in this house wants equal attention. I can hardly keep up.

We love him and enjoy him. He is quite the beauty of the breed. Do you have more photos of his siblings up on your site? I will take a look.

Thank you and we never forget you.

Marilyn,
He had a rough start with me, finding an opening into the back of my ensuite toilet surround - of which I was unaware. Siggy found this to be a safe place to hide. He came out once, but snuck back in before I could seal it off. You can imagine my distress and all I did to coerce him out! Eventually my trim son who has strong long arms was successful in retrieving Siggy from the tight space. We were hoping to avoid a forced exit but it was necessary since he would become dehydrated.

I fed him a Churu mixed with water, and later his wet food mixed with lots of warm water, all of which he lapped up. He is content and fine now, thankfully, and I’m so grateful.

Please pass on my unfortunate experience to others who adopt a cat. I was sure my bathroom was totally safe for him.

Thanks Marilyn, for this precious little life who is mine to care for.

And may God, who loves us all, be especially gracious to you as you face health challenges. I’ll be praying for you, if that’s okay.

Most sincerely,
Bev

Our Story

Marilyn worked for 10 years at the Animal Research Institute at the Central Experimental Farm in Ottawa with reknown Drs. like Dr. Jiro Nagai, a world recognized geneticist. I was also lucky enough to work with many vets under the directorship of Dr. Avery.

Marilyn won a competition to work at the Animal Diseases Research Institute in Hull, Quebec, that eventually moved to a disease free facility on Fallowfield Rd. in Ottawa.

I was again fortunate to work under the Directorship of Dr. Conrad L’Ecuyer and worked with many talented vets and technicians. Marilyn learned the principles of maintaining a disease free environment and was able to use this priceless knowledge to achieve the International Winning Great Pyrenees, Ragdoll cats and in our flock of Registered Dorset Sheep.

Prior to having my wonderful children, Marilyn qualified in competition to manage the huge Greenbelt Farm on Fallowfield Rd. in Ottawa which included crop management, various farm animals like sheep, swine and cattle.
