At this time, I will be unable to add any new clientele. So sorry for any inconvenience!

👋. Hello my dear Critter Friends!
I have a few updates that I’ve been meaning to post for a little bit now but life has been moving in what has felt like fast forward!

📝. The Scoop:
I will primarily only be available for pets in the evenings (and only 1-3 time slots at the most) with the occasional and rare mid day/morning drop in visits. I know this limits me when it comes to the doggie pals so I wanted to take a minute to share this new change. You are still welcome to reach out and check with me about any particular time you have in mind. (Send text to 478.718.7675)

✅. Clarification:
Now! If you have a flexible animal - frog, kitty, guinea pig, fish, hamster, bunny, turtle, bird— have me on speed dial! If they’re ok with this type of schedule, I’ll be as dependable as always and will send my usual updates and sweet pet pics. I would like to also include plants in this list as they are also alive, need water, and have a flexible schedule, too. (I enjoy nurturing all living things!)

📣. IMPORTANT things:
- Due to my ever changing kids/work/life schedule, I may only be comfortable scheduling 2 months out in advance. I realize this may not work for you and that’s ok! Again, feel free to ask.
- Payment is due between when a reservation of date/dates is requested and confirmed to the last day of service.
- Cancelation 7 days prior to the reservation is a $25 fee. Any payments on the reservation will be promptly refunded in the form that payment was received.
- Critter Rates are $15 per visit and $7 per each additional pet per visit. Rate are subject to change based on the client’s care and the type of pet (example fish). Estimates will be given and communicated properly.
- Given my schedule, I only service the Oakwood (sometime slightly into Kettering) area.
- Meet ‘n Greets with a new client are 50% of one drop in visit total. (Example one pet would normally be $15 so a meet and great would be $7.50).
- Paper towels, soap, trash bags, p**p bags if those are used, and some type of cleaning spray or disinfected wipe must be provided during drop in visits or a supply cost will be added to the final total of visit costs. Thanks for your understanding!
- Lastly just as I will be courteous to you and inform you of any illinesses or contacts, please do likewise so I can protect those around me. This is much appreciated!

🖤. I am so proud of this Critter business. I would not be here unless you all supported me like you do — thank you for the word of mouth advertising, entrusting me with your homes and letting me care for your babies is a complete honor. I hope to keep enjoying this role and loving on them!

🐾. XO

Smoky was a 4 lb, 7 inch tall, Yorkshire Terrier who served in World War II. In 1944 Smoky was found in a foxhole in the jungles of New Guinea by an American soldier who brought her back to camp and sold her to Corporal William A. Wynne for $6.44. For the next 2 years Smoky lived a soldiers life. Because she was not an official military dog, she did not get dog food or medical care. She shared Wynne’s meals and slept beside him in his tent.
The little dog even flew 12 air/sea rescue and photo reconnaissance missions, secured in the soldiers backpack. She survived 150 air raids and saved Wynne by warning him of incoming shells. Like many Yorkies, Smoky also loved to learn tricks and preform. She did so with the Special Services – entertaining soldiers in hospitals. After the war Smoky was flown back to the US hidden in a oxygen mask carrying case.
For the next 10 years she made television and public appearances in Veterans hospitals until her death in 1957. Smoky is considered the first Therapy Dog.

“Why do dogs live less than people??

Here's the answer:

Being a vet, I was called to examine a 13-year-old Irish dog named Belker.

The dog's family, Ron, his wife Lisa, and their little 6-year-old Shane were close to Belker and expected a miracle.

I tested the dog and found out he was dying of cancer. I told the family I couldn't do anything for him and offered to do the euthanasia procedure at home.

The next day, I felt the familiar feeling in my throat when Belker was surrounded by family.

Shane seemed so quiet, petting the dog for the last time and I was wondering if he would understand what was going on. In a few minutes, the animal fell peacefully sleeping to never wake up.

The child seemed to accept Belker's transition without difficulty. We sat for a moment wondering why the unfortunate fact that dog life is shorter than human beings.

Shane, who had been listening closely, said, "I know why."

What he said next surprised me: I had never heard a more heartwarming explanation than this. This moment changed my way of seeing life.

He said: "People come into the world to learn to live a good life, like loving others all the time and being a good person, eh? well, as dogs are already born knowing how to do all this, they don't have to stay as long as we do."

The moral of the story is:

If a dog was his teacher, you'd learn things like:

🐾 When your loved ones come home, always run to say hello.

🐾 Never pass up an opportunity to go for a walk.

🐾 Allow yourself the experience of fresh air and wind.

🐾 Runs, jumps, and plays daily.

🐾 Upgrade your attention and let people touch you.

🐾 Avoid " biting" when just a "growl" would suffice.

🐾 On warm days, lay on the grass.

🐾 When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body.

🐾 And never forget: "When someone has a bad day, stay silent, sit close and gently make them feel like you're there..."

This is the secret of happiness that, even if we don't realize, dogs teach us daily.”🐶❤️

Trusted with your precious fur babies.

Hello, fellow pet-parents!

Whether you’re going out of town for a holiday weekend, taking a week long vacation, had a surgery, an accident, having a busy work week, or have welcomed a new baby into the home - whatever that need may be! - I can help provide that additional pet care.

I have loved and cared for animals my entire life - guinea pigs, parakeets, horses, fish, bunnies and growing up, we always had a dog or two. During college and after, I dog/house sat for multiple families. Currently, I have 3 furry rescues (and 2 kids that also adore animals like their mama).

Another tidbit to pass along about me is that I use to work in the Albuquerque school system (so I am very organized and timely) and was a manager at one of the Chick-fil-As (so quality work and excellent customer service is key to me!).
