Doodles breeder is not facing a single consequence for her actions. After to speaking to the breeder, I discovered that she has been breeding for over 10 years, knowing that the breeds she breeds have health issues. Doodles parents were siblings.

Doodle and her siblings were dropped off (finally, after begging the owner for a week) at the rescue in a plastic bag. They were covered in f***s and urine. Doodle unfortunately was too far gone to save at that point. There were eight puppies in total, four and the mom of the litter passed away before we could get to them, three remain.

The breeder/hoarder has 5-6 remaining dogs in her home, all unfixed. Why is this happening?

RIP sweet doodle, I’m so sorry you had to spend your short life living in a plastic bag on the floor of a hoarders car.

This was the last bottle baby Doodle had. It’s been sitting on the counter since she passed, and I still can’t bring myself to clean it out. I keep seeing her tiny face, eyes barely open. I keep seeing her lying on the table at the vet in her final moments.

I’ll be honest—I haven’t stopped crying since Tuesday. This has hit me so much harder than I expected. The whole situation—the plastic bag they were dropped off in, knowing the others suffered before her—it’s all been building on top of the already heavy daily rescue routine.

What hurts even more is knowing that after speaking to the breeder, she admitted the breeds had known health issues… but still chose to breed two sibling dogs anyway. It’s the lack of empathy, compassion, and basic respect I encounter from people every day. It’s never having time for myself. No extra money to spend.

It’s spending every waking moment worrying about the dog you’re trying to save, have saved, or couldn’t save.

But then, there’s the rage inside of me as I stare everyday into a system that has failed animals like Doodle. Her life was cut short just like so many others.

There will be justice for Doodle and for many more like her.

Hello World! 💐🩷

We are sweet sisters Alice (all black) and Swan (black and white).

We are 11-week-old puppies looking for our forever homes. We came here with our mom and 9 total babies (phew)! A few things about us:
- German Shepherd Mix (at least that's what my mama is, not sure about dad)
- We are both kind of petite especially Alice
- We love people and other dogs. I really want to be friends with my foster dog-siblings but they think we are silly puppies
- We both do well in our crate even at night only waking up once during the night
- We are doing great with potty training but still learning
- We are food motivated and eager to please and not to mention Smart!
- I can't wait to find my forever family!

I'm being fostered in the Mead area. Apply to adopt me today!

We’d like to welcome Jackie and her babies into the Woof & Willow family!

Jackie, an 11 month old French Bulldog, was an owner surrender. Her owners took her in a few months ago, planing on getting her spayed. However, the previous owners never let them know about the pregnancy.

Jackie’s owners want the best for her and the puppies, and we respect that more than anything.

I just want to make things clear if you are a new follower of Woof & Willow.

Ever since I was a little girl, my dream has been to help save animals in any way that I could. Dogs in particular were my favorite. I noticed they never judged you, took you for granted, said hurtful things to you, or left you; they were just happy to be with you.

I started Woof and Willow Puppy Rescue last April, after taking in a heavily pregnant dog who gave birth right here in our home. And regardless of the sleepless nights, I fell in love with caring for this little family. It was during that time that I joined multiple online communities exposing the realities of shelters across America. Newborn puppies, pregnant dogs, healthy dogs, you name it, all are being euthanized simply because there isn't enough space.

When most people think of a "shelter" or "rescue" dog, they think of a pitbull that they can't trust (just want to add, I have been working with dogs almost my entire life, and it's never the pits, always the little dogs that bite). When that is far from the truth, you can find almost every breed in a shelter or rescue somewhere, and most are extremely loving and just happy to be with you.

If you knew me two years ago, you would never have guessed the life I live now. I had a massive social circle, worked a job I loved, engaged daily in habits that made me happy, and had a routine. I was not a shell of a person. That's what rescue work does to you: it's 24/7, it's demanding, it's losing all of your friends, it's never having energy, it's being emotionally numb. But, typical of me, I became so passionate about rescuing, it's all I focused on.

It's the one thing I know that when my time comes, I'll be able to say I did the best I can in this world. I didn't just care about the amount I was worth or how I looked; I cared about the innocent lives that I saved while remembering the ones I couldn't. I know deep down that I am not just saving animals, but I am saving people too. If you own a pet, you understand.

I always try my best to be kind, to give people the benefit of the doubt. I couldn't care less about what is said about me personally, but when it affects the organization, it affects the lives being saved, and that crosses the line.

People have SO much to say online that they would never in a million years, say to you in person, and I am not one of them.

I no longer have the time or energy to engage with ANYONE questioning my intentions or what Woof and Willow stand for. Yes, you will be blocked if you begin to comment, questioning my intentions, or asking sarcastic questions.

I want to thank each and everyone of you who have supported me, I can't thank you enough. I look at every note that comes with every Amazon order, every comment, I notice who always likes our posts, and I see you, and I appreciate you.

I wouldn't be able to do any of this without you, or without the help of Viviana Nickerson • Barkyard Properties, who joined me a few months ago.

This weekend, our team was confronted with one of the most heartbreaking cases we’ve seen.

A woman in her 70s—known to authorities as a hoarder and backyard breeder—showed up with four critically ill puppies stuffed into a plastic grocery bag. Half alive. Saturated with urine and f***s. Silent. Struggling to breathe.

We later learned the mother dog was bred with her own brother. The litters mother and four other puppies passed away in her care before she decided to surrender them (she reached out when they were still alive). They never had a chance. There is no heat in her home. No running water. And still, dozens of unfixed dogs remain inside, trapped in filth and silence, their suffering invisible to the world.

One of the four puppies we took in was too far gone. Despite emergency care and every ounce of love we could offer, our vets believe that humane euthanasia was the kindest route for the puppy, it’s failing lungs and swollen heart wasnt going to make it. They deserved a full life—a warm bed, a soft voice, safety. Instead, they got a grocery bag. They got a woman who cares more about money than life.

The police are aware, but they need more.

No human let alone animal should be living this way. Ban backyard breeding, more affordable spay/neuter clinics, more resources for those struggling. The dogs, and her deserve better
