Momma Maeve 🥹 This incredible dog has not yet received one application. No one has showed interest in her.

She’s not like most dogs, she had a really rough past and never really known love. But she’s learning, each day she is learning how to love and be loved.

Maeve would do best in a home with no small pets/cats. She is currently going through heart worm treatment and desperately needs at least a foster home.

Please, please share this post and let’s help this girl. Located in Colorado!

Another $1k day! 💸 🤮 I had to renew the rescues license today ($488) and pay for boarding for Maeve ($540)

GOOD NEWS HOWEVER - MAEVE IS MEETING A FAMILY TOMORROW! They are interested in fostering, potentially adopting her! Please, send her all of your positive thoughts for tomorrow.

Also, shout out to Double J Pet Ranch 🩷 They were truly a huge help over the past week, they have been nothing but amazing to Maeve and have been incredible to work with. I recommend anyone to them. Their prices are pretty good compared to other boarding facilities as well.

Hi everyone! Please be mindful of the items you drop off to donate. This is a in-house rescue and we can only accept, cleaned, gently used items. We cannot accept items with mold, broken items, ripped patio cushions, items that still have dog hair in them, pens with excess rust on them, large broken dog houses, or anything of that matter.

There is a list by the door as a reminder. This ends up costing the organization money, as we have to drive 45 minutes north to a dump and pay to have the items thrown away.

As always, I appreciate every member of the community and know that everyone means well, but please just keep this in mind, we do not have a dumpster here!

I truly hate to ask for help like this, but as you know, Maeve has been in a boarding facility for the past week, and it hasn’t been cheap.

The good news is, she’s doing really well there, she’s enjoying her time with staff members and receiving all of the love!

I have a few phone calls to make tomorrow and hopefully can get her into a foster home by this weekend or the next.

If you’d like to help chip in towards Maeve’s boarding or her heartworm treatments, any amount helps!

🩷 LONGMONT FRIENDS!

A close friend of mine took in three abandoned puppies who will soon be looking for their forever homes! Here’s some information on them:

“I have three incredibly sweet Great Pyrenees pups (two females and one male) who were surrendered to me about a week ago.

These pups have had very little exposure with people, so they’re understandably a bit shy and skittish. However, they are extremely gentle, everything is simply new to them, but
In only one week they have already began to open up, and I have no doubt that once they settle, they will become incredibly sweet, loyal family dogs.

They are currently doing great and have no trouble socializing with other dogs, cats, and even chickens. At about 10 weeks old, they’re growing fast and will likely reach around 100lbs when fully grown. We’ve started some one-on-one training, and they’re picking up quickly—already seeking out pets and head scratches, which is a huge step for them.

Although I’m not yet ready to place them in new homes until they’ve had at least 10 full days to adjust with me, they will be fully vetted and spayed/neutered before adoption. If you know anyone who’s looking for a gentle soul to add to their family please send them my way.“

This breaks my heart. People can be so cruel.

Rescue can be so hard and sad at times. Meet Titan who is a puppy we were notified of who was having seizures. We were told his owner was withholding food and water from him while also feeding him bags of chocolate covered pretzels. He went to the vet and they couldn't determine why he was having seizures and we figured we would do more with a specialist once he got to WI ( this weekend). Today our volunteer picked him up from the amazing lady who saved him and when she got there he was having back to back seizures. He wasent coming out of it so he was taken right to the vet for help. Unfortunately Titan just isn't recovering from them and the vet fully believes he has brain damage as he can't seem to see anything. Unfortunately this is the hardest part of rescue where we had to make the discussion to end his suffering and let him go. Our volunteer is on her way back to the vet to hold and kiss him while they let him go. We wanted nothing more than to give him a great life and show him all the wonderful things about it.

R.I. P Titan, we love you and are sorry.
