SoSo and her mum are pleased to say she finished off her CKC Rally Advanced title last weekend with Highest in Class in two trials (we won’t mention the NQ on Sunday morning for refusing the jump🙄). It’s taken a long time through no fault of SoSo’s—she’s been ready for a long time! One judge wrote on her scoresheet “Cute worker” and she certainly is! ❤️

Happy 8th birthday to Freya (on left), Bjorni (Jökull) and Coda (Falki)! Freyja is currently staying with us for a few weeks so we went out for an extra hike this afternoon with her mother, Eisa! Hope her brothers are having a great day too!

Do you have suet out for the birds? A word of caution: We have two dogs with pancreatitis and this is the second time for Eisa in two months! Although it’s possible Eisa ate something in the woods, it’s highly unlikely KK got into any garbage or anything with a high fat content—except possibly the suet. As the blocks are pecked at, suet goes flying and bigger pieces drop down. Our vet says that MAYBE the cause of the illness and it wouldn’t take much to make a dog sick. Now that they have had it, they are susceptible to getting it again so we will be modifying their diet and being very vigilant about what they are eating at all times going forward.

Day 3 and we seem to be turning the corner with the dogs feeling much better.
