From my perspective, Chief Barnes doesn’t recognize that animal control is primarily a people-centered job, focused on protecting public safety. Additionally, crimes against animals are often indicators of violent crimes against humans. It seems like this town only views animal control for its dog licensing. I fear this decision will come back to bite them.
