American woodcock from Michigan's upper peninsula. I've finished several different bird skulls and this one adds to the list as a 1st. These skulls were stripped clean in less than 10 hrs by the beetles. A couple months of soaking and degreasing and they will be perfectly white skulls!

All the deer from 2023 are finished and there are several that need to be picked up still so more pictures will be popping up once they do. Recently finished my personal 2023 east river whitetail. Pictured is one of the new plaque styles from D&D Wall Hangers with him on display. D&D has some pretty high quality plaques and am excited to offer them this season as an option.

35,000 beetles sent off to Oregon x2, Wisconsin x2, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Indiana today. They were starting to eat me out of house and home. Have to thin the herd every so often as several pounds of meat daily are consumed between all the colonies.

I will be out of cell service for the next two weeks. I will not be able to respond to fb messages. I know there will be lots of calls to drop off skulls as September is a busy month. Just a reminder if you have a velvet deer, freeze it immediately. If you have an elk, please skin the head and let it dry out before it gets rotten. Leaving the hide on for two weeks will lead to problems. Skinned, trimmed, and dried will be best if it does not fit in a freezer. All other skulls please freeze immediately and i will get back in touch. Thank you.

Moments like this I still think about that trivia question I got wrong at the Smoking Mule one night. I should have known. Lol. "How many teeth does a coyote have?" It's 42 teeth.

I made the mistake of selling too many bugs too fast about 2 months ago. Their life cycle was disrupted so paddlefish skulls had to go on pause for a few weeks as there were not enough bugs to clean efficiently and quickly. Colony size is now back up to normal and they're buzzing through paddlefish heads once again.
