Ava on the dock.
Ava, mother to the Greystone star litter at almost 9 years old doing one of her favorite things, dock diving. This was her first jump after a 2 year retirement.
The old lady still loves it 💜 Ava, mother to the Greystone ⭐️Star⭐️ litter, dock diving at almost 9 years old. Love this girl 💜 100% rotten but shows up every time I ask her to 💜

Proof that’s she was well behaved 😂
fast cat
So this is a dog sport that any AKC dog (or mixed breed dog with a PAL number can participate in) it’s called FAST CAT. Here’s how it works:
It’s timed 100-yard dash where dogs run one at a time, chasing a lure. The dogs time is converted to MPH using a formula and then the dog earns points based on their time. It takes 150 points to achieve a basic title and the more advanced FAST CAT titles require more points. The course is entirely fenced in so your dog can’t escape. Someone releases the dog (in this instance, Jake) and someone is at the opposite end to catch (me in the turquoise shirt). No training is needed but your dog should be in shape so they don’t get hurt. It’s so fun and a great way to wear your German Pinscher out!
German Pinscher neediness level 1000
Falcon
I taught Falcons litter to “mand” (a way of communicating that they would like something by sitting quietly in front of you and looking at you). Somehow…4 years later manding has morphed into this polite (yet obnoxious) way of communicating she would like something from me. 🤦♀️🙄
Exie
Exie’s owners have REALLY put a ton of time into training her properly. They always reach out with questions and concerns and they have done a fabulous job! When you have a toddler and a German Pinscher some days can get a little wild but this is definitely German Pinscher ownership done properly!
Exie
Supervised interaction between toddler and German Pinscher. Showing this video as an example of how important good foundational training and ongoing training are in any breed but especially German Pinschers.

When the true friendship starts 😂
Toddler: “You get the broccoli 🥦 and I get the Mac & Cheese” 😆
Exie: ok, deal
I love how gently Exie takes the broccoli.
Sharing this video of “Pawrenting” done right! Both child and German Pinscher can interact but each has their own safe space. Gosh do we have the best puppy owners (and parents). This is Exie (GP) and her sister.
🤦♀️ Ava thinks it’s a turtle and Falcon is just “special”
One of the things I try and educate
Potential German Pinscher puppy owners about is the amount of prey drive this breed has. Now, granted mine live on a farm and have had the experience/ thrill of killing things but this prey drive is next to impossible to train out of them. These are old German farm dogs who were bred to rid farms of vermin. Some lines will have a stronger prey drive than others but most breeders will preserve this quality in their lines as this is what the breed was originally bred for.
Ever night at dusk this bunny comes out to torment Falcon and Ava. Falcon starts watching out the window at about 9pm for him and then her and Ava loose their minds when they finally see him.
Falcon’s nighttime nesting routine. 😆

Everyone should have 2 German Pinschers…..🤦♀️🙄
