An introductory offer….

As many of you will already know, Molly is one member of our new team of vets. As a new graduate veterinary surgeon, she has taken on the responsibility for many of the routine services that we offer and is working alongside our experienced vets in more complex cases to gain vital experience on her road to becoming an all-round expert!

In her quest to encounter as many clients, horses and pathologies as possible in her first year of practice, we have decided to offer a heavily discounted hoof x-ray package that Molly will lead.

Molly will be able to offer x-rays of your horse’s front hooves, taken at your own yard for the discounted price of £150, inclusive of sedation if necessary (ideal for a bit of post x-ray mane pulling or feather trimming).

For £150 you will receive 2 pictures of each front foot; one taken from the front and one from the side. This represents a saving of a minimum of 30% compared to our normal prices (which we have been told are already very reasonable)! We can do back feet if there are any concerns there too for an additional £40, making the total x-ray price for 4 feet £190.

Call out fees will be charged in addition to the x-ray price and billed at your normal rate; remember if more than one person is seen at the same time at the same yard the call out fee is divided accordingly. Our minimum call out fee is £10.21.

Foot balance x-rays are really useful in the following scenarios:
- Your horse or pony has suffered a previous episode of laminitis making monitoring of the pedal bone position essential to maintain soundness and comfort.
- Your farrier may have suggested x-rays to assist with optimising the type of shoe or trim that best suits your horse at a given point in time; perhaps after an injury or a period of box rest.
- Your horse may have become foot sore with the spring grass and there may be a suspicion of laminitis, especially where EMS or Cushings have been diagnosed.
- Your horse may have suffered recurrent abscesses which could be explained by x-ray findings.
- Your horse may have been diagnosed with conditions such as arthritis, ringbone or sidebone in the past. X-rays will show the progression of any such condition and allow appropriate measures to be taken.
- You may be aware that your horse has longstanding foot balance issues that you are working to improve which would be helped by radiography.
- You may be transitioning your horse to barefoot living and wish to better understand their hoof conformation and sole thickness.

To make Molly’s foot balance package even more appealing, we can offer further discount if more than one horse is seen on the same yard at the same time and x-ray up to 4 horses at the same premises. Costs would then be as follows for front feet x-rays:

- 1 horse at £150; representing a discount of 30% from our usual price, a saving of £61.
- 2 horses at £135 each; representing a discount of 36% from our usual price, a saving of £76 per horse.
- 3 horses at £120 each; representing a discount of 43% from our usual price, a saving of £91 per horse.
- 4 horses at £105 each; representing a discount of 50% from our usual price, a saving of £106 per horse.

Please note, it will only be Molly that offers this discounted service for the reasons explained above. All x ray packages need to be paid for in full before the appointment. There will be no additional discount for payment prior to the call taking place. We can offer the service to existing and new clients with no obligation to use us as your regular veterinary practice. X-rays will be sent via email to your registered e-mail address for your records.

In Staffordshire's fields and Cheshire's lanes,
Works a vet named Tom curing aches and pains.

Experienced and wise, with a keen, practiced eye,
He spots lameness swiftly, no ailment slips by.

Day or night, he answers the call,
Providing emergency care himself, for one and for all.

Not part of a chain, his practice stands free,
He charges what's fair, no exorbitant fee.

He shuns needless treatments, invasive and bold,
For Tom knows the value of welfare, not gold.

Although vets have left seeking personal successes,
We know James will return with a refreshed perspective.

We're grateful to Claudia who has stepped in to practice,
Hard working and kind without any dramatics.

Alasdair too brings a safe pair of hands,
With the care and insight his experience demands.

With each challenge faced, the practice remains strong
We're rebuilding our team, it won't take long.

In Staffordshire's fields and Cheshire's lanes,
For the care of your equines, give us the reins.

Our Story

After several years of dedication to equine veterinary care throughout the North West, I founded this practice in 2014.

Bringing together a team of individuals who share an effective and empathetic approach to the practice of veterinary medicine, we aim to deliver affordable routine preventative healthcare as well as providing state of the art portable diagnostic tools and therapeutic treatments.

As ambulatory vets, all of our equipment is portable, and we offer a complete veterinary service with the added convenience of your horse remaining in the comfort of familiar surroundings.

In order to support and educate owners in their decision making we prioritise case continuity and understand the importance of a personal approach, developing long-term relationships with clients and their horses in every sphere of equestrianism.
