Hi all, Mielikki is a lovey girl from Kowhai and Oscar's second litter. She has her first litter on the way. Both parents have outstanding pedigrees.

About us ...

Leatherwood Gundogs breeds top quality pedigree Labrador Retrievers from working bloodlines, with puppies on the ground once every few years. We breed primarily for ourselves and close associates. These versatile working dogs can be trained for various outdoor pursuits, including big game indicating, game bird hunting and field trialing. They are also fun, gentle and loving companions in the home. The health and wellbeing of our dogs is our paramount concern. The parents exceed the strict medical standards of Dogs NZ (formally NZ Kennel Club), and the pups are registered and come with papers. They are raised by a husband/wife team consisting of a deer hunter and a qualified veterinarian (BVSc, MVSc). We are located in rural Kapiti, around 45 minutes north of central Wellington.
