Oreo and Smooch and of course Sunny our happy floofy-chonks were quite happy doing their thing, Sunny was more than happy to mark me last night too lol, so a big shower for me😆totally worth it though, he's a so loving!

Here's a small update on our page.
We now have budgies! Cloudy and Lightning, both female who have joined us!💜💜

I haven't really kept up to date much due to losing a few furry friends along with being quite busy with our personal lives.
Rats: Oreo, Smooch.
Fish: Firefly, Lightning.
Sunny the mouse.
and now Budgies are doing amazingly at the moment too and all are healthy!❤

Rat-tober 2021 vs Ratter's Day 2024

I feel like I had kind of failed this piece in some way due to the different head positions of both of them, Akela looking at us would've looked very cute, but I actually stole the head piece from "Sam, Tia & Akela" who were our last 3 ratties around that time, it's his head!😅but his body I had to kind of modify from memory due to him being in my bed, I couldn't see how his toes positioned nor his tail😊so you just end up trying to have fun with it while crying a little lol.

I'm hoping to use this sketch this week to do something for pride month but only for this page and not deviantart tooo much due to feeling like I do alot of artwork of ratties on there lol😅😊

We've had Onyx stay in the bed with me this morning for about almost 2 hours with my brother's company aswell then spent most of the morning and evening with his brothers being absolutely snuggled and now having the humidifier on in the room to help them all out with their breathing during this horrible, very cold weather! Onyx's breathing has been the worst out of the other two, they haven't slept much either during them nursing him up, even them avoiding dinner in making sure he's warm and being accompanied, before me having to quickly leave to get some brunch, I asked Smooch to do more of a job more than ever this time to make sure he's warm throughout the day, he immediately knew the assignment, and has become much more protective over his brother, even making sure he's being well bathed too. I couldn't had been anymore prouder of these beautiful boys keeping their brotherhood alive, but if anyone ever says "rats don't have feelings" trust me when I say they definitely do, when one of their siblings (biological or not) they care about one another ALOT!!

We've had rats for a long time, we've had something along these lines of experience too but never have I actually seen two rats avoiding food and water and walk in and out of igloos making sure they're loved, accompanied, and not feeling alone is definitely a first to me, yes they still have their space when they choose to, which I can tell from Onyx with either body-language/communication to the other (I need some quick space, I'll be okay, and be back in a minute or two) Smooch stays behind.

I thought I'd share about this anyways since I am very fascinated💙

Today's been a little cute but it's also been tough in some parts, for the past couple to few weeks, Onyx has been sick since he's been born, but it's been pretty bad to the point we're doing plenty of steaming and ventilating for our little old man, he's doing amazing and so far is VERY cuddly with human contact, he still wants to keep on going our beautiful boy❤he was also snuggled up in my son's old star wars robe that he outgrew, sometimes during this cold weather when you come out of what feels like a sauna, it becomes cold very fast (as it was indoors.) Our boy loved it and didn't complain, he doesnt mind fluffy things!

I spotted a small flock of White-Browed Babblers playing in pinecone trees nearby the walking/biking path from my home and shops, seemed like they were almost racing beside me, they weren't scared either which was easy to take a picture of them, very chatty little fellas!💕I'm honored to actually have a close up picture of one!!☺️

I found a... knock off Hug-Me Misty from Squishmallows? It's an Anko branded cutie, I certainly do not have a favourite at this point for how pretty looking this plush is! Lol

Some little items we've recently treated ourselves with... lol

I got the ALDI Mouse in a Mince Pie plush for a beautiful bargain online!! While I found "Hide-&-Squeak" only for $1 today at a Salvos!!! (And yes she still speaks!)

I think it was just my luck.. 1. The first op shop I was going to go to closed early. 1. This op shop I haven't been to in a while, and my heart and mind actually worked together today and annoyed me this time, like okay... I gave in this time.. I'm very glad I did! Even though it's not a big deal to some, I've been eyeing off Squeak the mouse that does hide and seek for a while now since I saw her in a store going for a beautiful price of $30 brand new along with some slippers that are usually $8-$10 For only $3 for my son. I'm feeling lucky at this point!

Thought I'd share my small story about how my day has gone so far lol

That one time when Smooch came out of his igloo then immediately passed out into his food bowl, what a sweetheart.
Him also letting me hold his food bowl to him on the same day😅💙he's too innocent!

And yes, we clean their cage regularly. They immediately trash it like they have here lol😂

Has anyone seen this little mouse in any ALDI stores? I'll be asking on a group too. I've been seeing it at least twice in the catalog without a release though? I've been keeping a very close eye out when I'm at the store but I'm unsure. Lol.

I can tell it's a mouse due to how small the nose is, and it's tail slightly next to it's foot:)
Gives me ikea vibes for how it's fur is made.😊

My favourite about Sunny is he makes a face like *●.●* very cute, I haven't seen a mouse do the face(s) like he does, even Tira showed alot of expressions too.

So.. I'm going to be having this as my soon to be phone case and I'm really excited about it.. So really quickly I'm just going to be showing you the coats that they were based on my past fur babies, I've had a few coats that were almost the same (Akela's with Tia's) or (Isabelle's with Jet's) that I didn't include because it didn't really matter all that much. I tried re-editing Akela's face soooo many times to make it less angry looking but then it just felt like.. well, that's okay.. maybe another time I can try again and not make it AS simple as it looks, I think that kinda ruined some of their faces lol. Absolutely gorgeous little piece either way, I am absolutely in love with how simple it looks and all the work I had put into it but I also hate it too, if that makes sense? I found out a MUCH easier way this year after I finished this piece but I could tell why I was confused and didn't use that easier way too. I'm grateful either way.. lol😅🥰

My appreciation post of the boys! I hold mice super awkwardly aha but it helps if I wear 'loose' clothing from moving everywhere so they don't fall off, he also loving being slightly closer to us for support and comfort❤

The boys LOVE greeting us every morning and day, this is their new routine lol absolutely love their faces here😆💙

"nightAway", an abandoned project that turned into something finished. I'd like to try uploading another version some other time when I'm ready and have time to. This is my first drawing of 2024 either way, im very happy with this mother mouse to-be!

I've changed her a little bit, she is completely my own design, she has nails, fingers, toes, floof, a heart shaped ear canal (to know it's from me!), a halo of whiskers, and can't forget the lashes😆

What do you think?

The old picture was mainly oil paint that I never got to finish, she has been left unfinished since I had my bub, I was pregnant and wanted something to look up to during my postpartum, but instead her blotchiness is motivation for me to try to finish her painting, but instead of me getting pretty messy, I was a little lazy with procreate, I just don't have the supplies here right now:(

Here's little Tira before she passed away, she looked so so gorgeous, we miss her dearly.. I don't like showing them before the state on the day of their passing(s), but just how she looked here broke my heart but also knowing she's okay now💜
And here's Smooch who fell asleep on top of his igloo, such a gentle soul💙💙(my dad's picture)

A mini Tiramishu appreciation post, our little granny has stayed with us for as long as she has, between outliving her sisters, being as bright as she ever can be, to in now less than a week of not running on her wheel, time has become closer and closer, she's slowed down so much, she's nearly made it to 2 years old in May. We love you Tira!

Her milestones 2023: Moved into a tiny travel cage for a few days, stayed into a motel, accidently doing freeroam on the ground, moved house (along with Sunny too)

she's done an amazing job with us, she's an awesome little mouse with a huge personality

💥💥(WARNING SPIDERS ARE IN THIS POST IF YOU HAVE ARACHNOPHOBIA)💥💥

We had our very first passing in our new home, it was Dexter on the first to second night while I was on holiday, he was a very beautiful little ratty, I still remember when he was laying with all his brothers (Smooch, Oreo and Onyx), they all moved towards me for the a treat while he only rested, so I tried getting a picture of him doing so. (Picture 40)

We love our babies so so much, we knew we wouldn't have him for much longer but it was more so the reaction of his identical brother, Onyx that made the family bawl their eyes out.
I won't share it right now since its in 2023 now.. It's not in the past, no! We've done ALOT of work for Onyx and his possible trauma over his brother, I'm so glad he has Oreo and Smooch but I know deep down, his connection to Dex won't ever be the same compared to the other two boys.
