Meet our little starlet Scarlett! Scarlett is a two year old Dachshund mix. You may notice something different about her, Scarlett has cherry eyes. Cherry eye is when the tear glands in a dog’s eyelid swell. This is a common condition that can happen and is highly treatable. Scarlett’s surgery is scheduled and soon she’ll be back in tip top shape! Most importantly, Scarlett needs a home! Scarlett is so sweet and so loving and deserves a forever home. Adopt Scarlett!

Meet Everest! Everest is eight months old. Everest is so sweet and loving! He’s a very playful pup that loves other dogs and love belly rubs! He’s really sweet and when he plays with other dogs, because he will run around and them roll on his back and let other dogs sniff him and explore. Everest is house trained, and knows sit, down and stay. He’s such a cutie and his two different colored eyes making him ever cuter! Adopt Everest!

Meet Phoebe! Phoebe is a purebred French Bulldog, rescued from a bad situation. We believe Phoebe is around three or four years old. She is very sweet and is a playful girl and likes kids! She’s also very good with dogs and loves her foster brother, Maple! Phoebe loves to cuddle, play fetch, tug of war, etc! Phoebe knows most basic commands and is learning fast, she’s a smartie! Lucy Update 🚨

A few days ago, we rescued a sweet Boxer from the shelter who was suffering from kennel cough. Knowing she urgently needed care, we pulled her out of the shelter and took her to the vet to ensure she received the treatment she deserved and needed. Despite feeling unwell, she has shown incredible affection and gentleness. ❤️‍🩹

Unfortunately, Lucy’s recovery journey has been more challenging than anticipated, resulting in unexpected medical expenses. She requires an additional night at the hospital, which adds $600 to her treatment costs. The current running total for her care is $2,600. If you are able to contribute, please consider supporting Lucy’s care. We are so excited to formally introduce you to Clarabelle, our newest sweetheart at Big Love Animal Rescue 💛

Despite all she’s been through, her gentle spirit shines in everything she does. In our recent vet visits, Clarabelle has also become a fan favorite among the vet staff for her sweetness. 🥹 She truly is so gentle and wouldn’t hurt a fly!

Clarabelle is very smart and listens diligently. While she’s still learning to walk on a leash (initially preferring to crawl 😢), daily practice is helping her gain confidence with each step!

Meet Izzy 💗

We were able to rescue Izzy from the shelter and she has been SUCH a love bug ever since she got into our arms 🥹 Izzy is one of the happiest dogs we’ve met - and is quite literally the epitome of sunshine and rainbows!

Izzy is a Maltese Mix and is 4 months old. She has some growing to do but we don’t expect her to get much bigger! (She is currently almost 10 pounds now). Izzy LOVES other dogs and kids, so she’d fit perfectly into a family too! 🏡

Margo (formerly known as Daisy) was picked up by us from the animal shelter. She had severe a**l prolapse and was in the hospital for quite a while in recovery. We are happy to share that Margo is doing very well after her surgery and is doing amazing 🥹 She has been living comfortably with her foster and can’t wait to find her forever home 🏡

Sweet Finn had a tough day yesterday.

We noticed yesterday that Finn, our 10-week-old baby, was suddenly very sick. He had a fever of 105 degrees and became uninterested in anything (which is unlike him). We rushed him to the vet and he was immediately seen by a vet. Unfortunately, the doctor told us sweet Finn most likely was bitten by a snake or rodent. He received medical treatment and is thankfully doing better today 🙏

We will update you all on Finn’s progress, but all is looking up from here. And once Finn is 100% better, he can’t wait to be adopted 🏡

Meet these smiley sisters, Rose & Dorothy!

Rose & Dorothy are our 9-week-old lab mix sisters! 👯‍♀️ We found these girls when they were all alone with no mama as newborns. They were bottle-fed by us and are now very healthy and thriving!

Dorothy is a very brave girl and is curious about the world. She is quite adventurous and isn’t afraid to try new things! 🏔️ Rose is our cuddle bug. She would be perfectly content sitting next to you all day 💗 These girls are both very bubbly and kind pups. They would do amazing as family dogs! They love all people, kids, and other pups!

Please, Please help us. We desperately need donations. This 6-month-old French Bulldog was dumped at the shelter with an a**l prolapse. She was in so much pain and needed emergency surgery. I didn't even consider the cost; I just had to help her. Her Surgery was $3,600.00, and it took two doctors and three vet techs to put this baby back together again. It was a massive surgery, but I'm happy to say she's in recovery and resting. As I was driving to the shelter to pick her up, I kept thinking Dear God, I hope people will donate because, without support, I can't rush to their side to help them anymore. I named this baby- Daisy. We appreciate any amount and thank you in advance for your support.

And I can't understand how someone has the money to buy a purebred French Bulldog and then dumps it at the shelter when it needs medical care. Heartless!

Meet our newest Rescue, Moose. His owner dumped him at a w**d shop because he couldn’t care for him anymore. He lost his job, was moving, and couldn’t afford vet care. 😡Moose wasn’t eating, was lethargic and had such a horrible ear infection. His ears were oozing with puss. 💔A previous adapter of ours was near the location and heard what happened. They called us immediately and asked if we can help this poor boy. They offered to pick him up and take him to our vet so he can get the help he needed. Of course, we said, yes, and thankfully, he’s now in our care after bloodwork, x-rays, antibiotics, and an ear flush, moose is resting comfortably. I promised Moose that whoever we adopted him to next would have to walk on water for him.💕 He deserves nothing less. Please consider donating to his care. His vet bill was 1k. Meet our Golden Girls 🤩

In late March, these babies were found at a construction site, but thanks to the compassion of one animal control officer’s wife, we learned about this litter and took in three of these 5-day-old babies. We have been bottle-feeding them and monitoring them 24/7, and now we’re excited to give yall an update!

We are so happy to say that they are thriving and extremely healthy, thanks to all of the support we’ve received on their last post 🥹 They are currently 4 1/2 weeks old and will be available for adoption in 4 weeks.

Calvin is 100% good boy 🎩

AND… he is still looking for his forever home! 🏡 Calvin is an 8-week-old Maltese mix. He is super friendly and will be your partner in crime in anything you do.

Even though he is small (5 pounds to be exact), he is mighty 💪 He loves to run after balls, jump for his toys, and cuddle up to you for a 10/10 nap sesh 💤 Calvin is a BIG fan of other dogs and also loves people (including kids)! He will make the perfect pup and best friend 🤍
