It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Mr. Briar. His health had declined in the past several months and although he had better days, most he was increasingly struggling. We were honored to give him the best last 8 years of his life.
He was loved, well traveled throughout the U.S. , an avid camper, swimmer, runner, and crazy character. He was alpha male to his alpha female sister and the two blended well while maintaining their independence. No one was the boss, just perfect respect for each other as it should be. His favorite thing was undoubtedly food, and he always sang and barked for his meals!
For 8 years he had snuggled so closely to me in bed I rarely had an inch to move. He was a fierce protector, a singer, dancer and and gave back every inch of love he received.
To all of those who helped us bring him home, we were always greatful as we know you were. To Sarah who gave him a new lease on life when she called him by his original name and really changed his behavior once we knew it, we are forever greatful. To Michelle and David, for facilitating our adoption , also very greatful.
I know my mom is holding him close now for us until we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge. Run free big guy you will forever be in our hearts, thank you for the love and companionship ❤️🙏🙏❤️
