We are ready for Holiday Dressage this weekend! Here are the ride times for our Dressage in the Hill Country Holiday Classic Show on Saturday and Sunday! Can't wait to see everyone! Come with your appetite because Maurice with Space Cowboy Catering will be there serving the best gourmet horse show food in Texas! Our show is free to watch, plus there is sooo much going on at DSRP this weekend including the Winter Wonderland, ice skating and the holiday market. Happy Horsey Holiday!!

We'll be awarding 12 of these vintage-style beauties tomorrow at the end of our DSRP Ranch Horse Show! Champion and Reserve Champion buckles in Junior Horse, Senior Horse, 18 & Under Riders, 19 & Over Amateur Riders, 18 & Under Walk/Trot Riders and 19 & Over Walk/Trot Riders.
If you are looking for something free and fun to do tomorrow, come on out to DSRP's big, beautiful indoor arena and watch the action. The showbill gives you the schedule of classes. Our Trail and Stock Horse Pleasure classes typically run from 8 AM to about noon and they are definitely worth watching!
Tomorrow is the last show of our three-show series for the year. Thanks to all the riders, trainers, friends and family who came to ride and support our Ranch Horse Shows!

Double the drills and double the skills! Saddle up and join us on October 5th, 2024 for back to back clinics! Ride in just one or both!

Start the morning with Penny Reeves in our Intro to Western Dressage Clinic. Participants will ride an actual dressage test in a regulation dressage arena, learning “dressage geometry” (the only kind of math Penny enjoys) while identifying quality movement and effective communication in all gaits and maneuvers specific to western dressage. That same movement and ease of handling correlates beautifully with ranch classes! Penny Reeves is the owner of Graymar Farm in Driftwood and specializes in riding lessons for Western Dressage and Ranch Horse events. With over 15 years showing and training in the discipline, Penny is passionate about introducing western riders to dressage. Penny also coordinates the DSRP Riding Series of 14 annual shows including the Ranch Horse Show Series and the Dressage in the Hill Country Shows.

Jodie Fuchs will then be leading our What is the Judge Looking For: Ranch Riding Clinic! The clinic will cover quality movement work in all the gaits and how to perfect the ex*****on of maneuvers required in the pattern for Ranch Riding. Jodie Fuchs, a popular DSRP Ranch Horse Judge and trainer/clinician at Flying Fox Performance Horses in Blanco, is an international clinician and former Australian AQHA judge who was on the ground floor of the AQHA Versatility & Heritage Programs! Jodie led our first DSRP Riding Series clinic with us in July and it was a huge hit and we are excited to have her back again!

These clinics create a positive and encouraging atmosphere for riders & horses wanting to learn more about Western Dressage and the Ranch Horse discipline

Reminder that the Trail and Stock Horse Pleasure (signs on the rail) patterns will be set up from 2 to 7 PM on Friday so everyone showing can practice!
