I have to talk about this photo that I just took. These dandelions are right out my front step. I just saw them today. We just had a thick layer of ice & snow on the ground with frigid Temps! We had a low of 12 degrees just the other night. When I saw these dandelions, it hit me that God makes a way for all his creation. He not only already made a way, but He continues to make a way ❤️ thank you Jesus for loving us so much to continue to make a way for us ❤️ if you don't already know Jesus, I urge you to get to know him and believe His sacrifice for all of man.

Hey guys, I want to add a note here. Seems like a lot of people are looking for extremely cheap puppies right now. So I want to address that here. First my babies are extremely well bred, 30 years of past well bred in fact. I've had these lines for over 30 years, I've health tested and shown my danes in AKC conformation for over 25 of those years. I also am a retired vet tech and my babies get the best care, love and attention. And I also pay sales tax on each puppy that is placed. It's the law. I have in the past added sales tax on top of the puppy purchase and I've also just already included it in. And this time, I have just included it in. Any breeder in any state by law is to pay sales tax. I wish that wasn't so but it is. And I do not want to risk getting in trouble with the law not doing so. Then the next thing I want to mention is that my over head is extremely high raising these danes & babies! You don't even want to see my monthly food bill, just by itself would make most cringe! So when someone wants a puppy for just a few hundred dollars, they are asking me to raise cheaper dogs and I will not do that! I will stop all together before I raise cheap dogs and raise cheap litters. I don't skimp on how my babies are raised, I won't skip on vetting them properly. My babies also get extra vetting , not just routine vetting. I have worked in vet medicine and seen so many times puppies that were free or very cheap have parvo and other diseases and of course the first question is "is this pup up to date on vaccines & deworming ". And 9 times out of 10, the answer is "I think so" . That means no in almost all cases then. You would 100% know if the baby was. And then those owners are faced with spending 2500-3000 on parvo treatment or euthanasia. And trust me putting a baby to sleep for something as preventable as parvo and other puppy diseases is absolutely the worst! So please plan for your next companion, they are a life decision, not a cheap process. Now giving one a home that needs a home is different, that is considered a rescue type situation. And I am all for that! I too have rescued during these 30 years. But a lot of good and bad can come with rescue, it can be heartbreaking and rewarding all at the same time. It's not for everyone. And the other thing I hear is " I just want a pet, papers don't matter". Well AKC papers matter to me, even as just companions because we are attracted to a certain breed for their physical and mental attributes, the breed standard for each breed has a written breed standard and responsible breeders are supposed to follow this breed standard. So if you are purchasing a breed specific puppy, then why do most think papers don't matter? Don't you want the great dane to grow up and look and act like a great dane? If that doesnt matter to you, then why not just rescue what ever dog/puppy that needs a home? And then the last thing I want to mention is that when a person who has a litter of non akc papered puppies, ask yourself, what was their goal in having a litter. Was it accidental and then they promptly get each dog/parent spayed and neutered? Or was it intentional and they intended to create a litter of poorly bred puppies that are extremely cheap and raised cheap? If that is the case, why would you support that type of effort? That just creates a cycle of unwanted pets no matter the breed! So you fund them to do it all again the next go around. Our shelters are full of unwanted pets. I support rescue efforts and I also support responsible breeders adhering to the breed standard and producing quality. I will not support anyone who knowingly breeds cheaply on purpose, that is doing everything that is wrong in breeding. And one more point, if you are looking for a great dane please know they are not a cheap breed to raise, everything is bigger with a extra large breed. Food bill is higher, monthly heartworm prevention is higher because it's based on weights, everything is more expensive with a dane. So consider your over all budget before getting a dane.
